This is definitely a grass spider (Agelenopsis sp.), probably Potter's Grass Spider (Agelenopsis potteri), family Agelenidae.

been a minute since I've bugposted, mostly because bugs are becoming a far less frequent sight as it gets colder and colder. Here's some little friends, lots of spiders and parasitic wasps who enjoy scurrying around in the fallen leaves :)

Sunflower today. Matron was out for a moment but went into hiding before I could grab a photo.
Waiting for the crickets to arrive today. The shipment diverted way off its usual route, so the crickets have been in their tube for longer than they probably should have. I don’t have high hopes for many survivors. My girls need to eat.
