I draw all my illustrations on a very simple, traditional no-screen graphics tablet. It's what I got used to as a kid.
Huion sent me their Inspiroy Frego M graphics tablet in exchange for a review: store.huion.com/de/products/inspiroy-frego-m?utm_source=ig&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=frego-kristina

As a longtime user of the very old Wacom Intuos 4, I've been looking for alternatives for when it will no longer run. However not all graphics tablets feel exactly the same way, so I was happy to find out this one does!
The size is very similar to the Intuos, it's a bit more lightweight and compact even. I don't need any touch buttons or other controls. Just the right feel, and good pressure sensitivity, which this one has!
My only critique: the included pen is too thin - more like an Apple pencil. When I make this Inspiroy Frego M my main tablet, I will need to get the thicker pen that Huion also offers.
Pen nibs are also included, which is nice! Now I feel prepared for all eventualities :)
I also love that Huion also has an anti AI/pro human art policy!
(The artwork included in this post is an older one.)
saw a VINTAGE DRAWING TABLET at a charity shop today for only SIX POUNDS!!! so anyway here's my new baby. she's a medion/tevion md41217 and she's TWENTY ONE YEARS OLD!!! she won't work on any operating system newer than windows xp but i don't mind because she's here to be pretty
Beloved fellow digital artists, what kind of tablet setup are we using?
I get the impression a lot of people use an iPad and procreate. I'm unc and have never owned an iPad or any other computer-type tablet. I have a small Wacom intuos that I don't really use because I don't find it that comfortable. I do basically all my art with a mouse which makes sense because I'm mostly doing pixel, vector and 3D which I find easier with a mouse anyway, but I'm thinking of getting a tablet specifically for art. I'm not that keen on getting an iPad because I don't have any other Apple products and they're a bit more expensive compared to android tablets.
If you have any experience or suggestions to share, let me know and I will give you a drawing of a bird that I'll draw with a mouse in paint 🐦
i think these two would have loved newgrounds flash games

Today you're not drawing...
Yikes
To answer a quick question I get a lot, yes, I am still drawing OCs, I just do things at my own pace. These are for practicing, they're not commissions.
Anyways-
I found out why some of my art has been off when I finally finish up on something. Turns out, my graphics tablet makes everything look VERY saturated. I took the longest time messing around with the colors to get both of these to look right.
I decided to draw Aslan twice. Once while paying attention to the color on the hair, and once without paying attention.
I was more strict in my movements for the lineart and actually double checked the colors on my graphics tablet and laptop screen
More relaxed lineart (I kind of like it), but I did not pay attention to the color difference on the hair.
Whatever shows up on my laptop screen (the actual color) will have to be very very bright in color on my graphics tablet because of how saturated it makes things appear. I don't know if anyone else has this issue, but if you do, try to check on multiple screens before coloring anything. I use an XP Pen, I don't know the number/model, but I'll see if this saturation issue can be fixed.
On a brighter note, I do like #2 because of how colorful it came out, it kind of makes Aslan look like she has a natural blush across her face.
Hello everyone, today I decided not to be lazy and sat down to draw with a graphics tablet..—-— I have no screen soооо it’s a little difficult to get used to.. In general, I decided to try to draw something and this is the Circus Baby from FNaF... again [for inaccuracies and curvature I apologize]
