Grandma Pie Pizza is a classic, rectangular-shaped pizza with a thick, airy crust. It's topped with simple yet delicious ingredients, making it a favorite among pizza enthusiasts.
Ingredients: 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour. 1 packet 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast. 1 cup warm water. 2 tbsp olive oil. 1 tsp sugar. 1 tsp salt. 1 can 28 oz whole peeled tomatoes. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 2 cups fresh mozzarella cheese, shredded. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Warm water, sugar, and yeast should all be mixed together in a bowl. Wait five minutes until it foams up. Mix the yeast with the flour, salt, and olive oil. For five minutes, work the dough until it is smooth. Put a lid on it and let it rise for an hour. Set your oven to 475F 245C before you start cooking. Spread the dough out so that it fits a 13x18-inch greased baking pan. Put minced garlic on top of the dough, and then put whole, peeled tomatoes on top of that. Get your hands dirty and crush the tomatoes. On top of the pizza, spread out the fresh basil, grated Parmesan, and shredded mozzarella. Add pepper and salt to taste. Put it in the oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and a little browned. Take it out of the oven, let it cool a bit, then cut it up and serve.
