I'm starting at Section 1, Unit 4: Order food and drink

Our formula = X は Y です

は = Topic Marker

TIP → は is only pronounced wa as a topic, anywhere else besides the greetings; こんにちは, and こんばんは, は is pronounced ha.

Sentence 1: これはカレーです。(This is curry.)

→ In this sentence, the は marker comes right after これ, making, this, the topic of the sentence, and curry the object, or what this is referring to.

→ i am talking about this curry, not that curry

Sentence 2: それはラーメです。(That is ramen.)

→ In this sentence, the は marker comes right after それ, making, that, the topic of the sentence, and ramen the object, or what that is referring to.

Try looking for language exchange meetups in your area! I used the website Meetup to find some in Seoul after I moved here, and through a meetup I found on there, I was able to make friends and practice my Korean. If there aren’t any meetups in your area, try a language exchange site or app like Hellotalk or Sharedlingo. Through Hellotalk, you can connect with people who speak the language you want to learn (and who want to learn your native language). There is a voice notes function if you want to practice speaking, and I have done voice calls and even met some people from Hellotalk IRL if we really got along well and they didn’t seem creepy.

Sharedlingo is a largely text-based language exchange chatting platform, but again, if you find someone that seems cool, you can head over to the messaging app or program of your choice for voice chatting or choose to meet up. Everyone, especially my younger followers, please never meet up with someone new in an area you’re unfamiliar with or in a secluded area! Be safe <3

When I trust you enough talk to you about my problems. I want to rant a bit. I don't need solutions. I just need to whine to someone. Don't "go see a doctor" me.

Okay, maybe you don't want to talk to me. Or find me annoying. But at the same time you use that term to show that you are good and that you actually care. Ew. It's deceiving. Even if you genuinely care.

I used to be a hypocrite. I tried to care. It tracks bitches with problems. Even I got uncomfortable and found it annoying. But I would never say go see a doctor. I found it rude.

You got your own problems too and you act like you are better than me. Cause you are hurted and now you want to save others. Dear future psychologist/psychiatrist.

You are so so fake. Makes me sick. Makes me want to hurt others.

Day 1 - Some grammar and cursive practice!

English is my first language for speaking, however, French is my first language for writing.

And because of that, I’m extremely behind on my English grammar.

I plan to post at least everyday to work on my writing!

In a strange twist of fate, it has been snowing (that almost never happens here), and school was cancelled for the day. I should study Spanish (I totally will later, I swear), but I’m doing laundry, digital art practice, and listening to the audiobook of Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow, because I’m a nerd who fails at adulting.
