BIOGRAPHY

Grace Patricia Murphy was born on December 11, 2002 in a small town in South Carolina. Her parents were Dave and Monica Murphy, but her mother died when she was two-years-old. Her childhood was an unhappy one, with her father being neglectful and emotionally abusive. He would also try to force his Catholic beliefs on his daughter, leading Grace to grow to despise religion, especially after she begins to realize that she’s attracted to both genders.

Her father did not have a lot of money. But Grace was determined to get as far away from South Carolina as possible, leading her to study hard so she could earn a scholarship. She eventually gets into Columbia University, but feels isolated there and doesn’t make a lot of friends. She’s much more comfortable with people older than her or the children she assists at a local daycare.

As her final year of college comes to a close, Grace is dreading the inevitable: she will have to go back home to South Carolina. But on a lovely day in the park, everything changes when she saves a little girl from being bullied. She finds herself a nanny to the girls and her siblings, and is growing closer to the parents and their close friend.
