Firstly, I wanna say that I applaud the members for their performance and giving their 100% as usual.
Jimin & Jungkook were just amazing. (And in love. Like? It's so cute 🥹)
And I am glad the weather was better because it seems they had a better experience overall.
I could also be entirely petty over all the people pestering it was "the rain" yesterday.
Of course I'm way above it XD
I saw some tweet that made me wheeze because it said "It was so much better today because it was sunny! They could finally do the concert they wanted to do."
Guys................It was the same concert. Literally it was the exact same concert except the camera work was better and they switched one song. Oh, and the crowd didn't seem as depressed surely bcs they weren't soaking wet.
Look you know what I am not even "mad" or anything bcs I knew what to expect.
I don't know why they hired dancers not to dance though. Its danceless walking jumping concert now and even the background dancers are just here to hold light sticks or screens or white cloths. Oh yes and to dress like tkkers cultists because we had to include them somehow.
The 360° stage is basically useless because not utilized properly. They use it to sit on it and stand around in circles but they can't even bring them chairs or props or basically ANYTHING that would justify this stage but I guess they had to make up for the ticket price.
I still think this setlist in this order was a bad idea. They could have not done merry go round after swim because at this point I wanted to fall asleep. And I almost fell asleep when the background dancers did whatever with the cloths and we had psychedelic abstract VCRs for 10 minutes while they changed. 2 different set of new clothing and yet none of them were a least bit exciting. Why change clothes then? No need to bother.
The idol parade went on for ages and nothing exciting was happening on screen either they just walked around endlessly in a circle.
And when they did DNA choreo they didn't do it properly, almost making fun of it like LOL remember this choreo we did when we were not old. How silly. Only Jimin seemed to do it well. Namjoon sang his parts like he was bored too which I found odd.
Anyway, despite being sunny the stage production was still bad. It was not worth the biggest band in the world. I've seen other concerts better way than this. It's certainly not worth the insane prices.
What infuriates me is the lack of creativity, scenography, and coherent ambiance and synergy with the songs. Don't tell me they can't do it because BTS concerts weren't like this in the past. And I do not talk about choreo I talk about set pieces and lighting and costume. I talk about something that would blow our minds. What I feel with this concert is to be taken for a fool. Like they take fans for fools and that this company thinks BTS can do the bare minimum now and it will be enough because people will always give them money even if it's not creative anymore. And the worse thing is that they are right because people having a tiny bit of critical thinking are immediately shut down bcs WHATEVER THEY DO IS AMAZING. Can we stop babying these men?
BangPD thinks BTS just has to stand there and look pretty and sing song after song and it will be enough. Well, I love these guys to death but no at least for me it is not enough. Especially if the songs aren't strong enough to make it interesting on their own.
And to add old songs turned into remixes nobody wanted and not even dancing on them? It feels almost cruel.
And yes, maybe it's for the best. Their health will be preserved entirely, and they'll have plenty of time and energy to focus on other stuff (like RUN BTS tk vlogs) or solo campaigns for their deals. Jungkook will probably do loads of tiktoks and spend an insane amount of time in the gym.
Jungkook changed his pfp to golden and purple logo and Jimin posted jikook related posts two days in a row. I see you. We've also got plenty of jikook moments.
They might be inclined on jikookism and honestly if they spend this tour focusing also on their relationship I won't be mad at all. Good for them.
As for me I will put my hopes and dreams for this band into the closet.
I waited years for them to come back, now maybe I can wait years more for Jimin & Jungkook to do a subunit or something where they actually perform. It won't change much for me 🤡🤡🤡
No more seriously I am making my peace with it. I am not vibing with the direction of the band. If I had seen this concert years back I would have scrolled past without thinking about it ever again.
I don't know who's fault it is and it doesn't matter I guess because Namjoon said that's what the 7 of them wanted to do. As many people pointed out, pointing fingers anywhere else but on them is stripping them of their agency.
In their heads they are 80 years old and I guess there's nothing to do about it. I've seen way older singers do much more but you know what? If that's what they want to do and they are happy, good for them.
As for me, I think this shift is actually a good thing because I won't stay glued to my phone for a year and a half and will have plenty of time to do the things I love like creating. I won't feel guilty if I disappear for months to write my trilogy.
I'll probably wait for jikook clips on tl check my gc and that's it

People not liking it like me won't change a damn thing because they have people always ready to throw their money at them no matter what they do. They will keep their title of biggest band in the world.
If I knew the concert would be like this I would not have bought such expensive tickets. I'm still going to go though. Maybe in person the fan's energy will make it better.

All I hope is that the members can be happy
And who knows maybe Jimin & Jungkook will be so bored at some point they'll finally do the projects they want to do
I can't say that I am not sad that I won't see the two best performers in the world perform anymore.
Jimin & Jungkook dancing was the core of their being. But since everyone seems to say THAT'S WHAT THEY WANT I guess I just need to accept it somehow.
30 is young tho or whatever but I guess they've already had pretty good years behind them.
I'll still be happy to see them smile and see what they are up to.
I guess I'll be one of the "nostalgist" that the tl wants to shut down and ignore like this isn't fucking valid feelings to have.
I think they are shooting themselves in the foot but you know what since everyone seems to think they know what they are doing and that we should always trust them I will trust them to deal with whatever the future holds for them
Fans leaving will give place to new fans anyway and whatever they cannot please everybody as they say
Fandom is a warzone and if the future is filled with tkkers ruling our fan experience maybe it's best to fuck off anyway
I hope you guys aren't like me the fans who "are incapable of maturing and evolving with the band" and that you keep having a nice time with BTS.
You know, I did well to do my tattoo in 2019 "the most beautiful moment in life" because I knew this moment would be fleeting and that it could certainly not last my whole life.
Things have been going downhill for a long time anyway and that's just a continuation.
I will hope for their success nonetheless.
Now I will moon over the jikook clips, maybe cry a little and go read a fanfic or something.
