The journey not only have thought me so much more about myself that I even knew but it also thought me to don't forget to enjoy the journey while in it. In Brazil we have a saying, which is perfect for it: It goes the ring, remain the fingers. Basically, just to enforce, everything one day will tend to fade, and that doesn't go for the passion, love and respect for the sport, but the outside beauty, our youth, the strength will slowly change with aging, so if it wasn't for the people we meet and the lessons learned the journey wouldn't have a meaning, neither a purpose, and definitely wouldn't be as much fun. If you stop to think all these people have major importance in our journey. It's #transformationtuesday time and the point here is to show the realness from my last 12-14 weeks prep! This was the best package I have brought yet, so I thought I would throw an extra incentive for me to remind myself who I need to beat this time around. Prep has started, and I am going all in, as I need to place top 2 in order to qualify nationally. Hopefully by then, all my citizenship situations is squared it out and your girl will be stepping on a national stage for the first time this year. It's been 2 years of learning and acquiring experience on all these regionals shows I have prepped for. The reason why I haven't done a national, wasn't really my citizenship, well yes and no, yes because I wouldn't be able to go even if I wanted, and no because I could have initiated the process back then, but in all honesty I didn't feel ready even tho a lot of people would tell me the opposite. I wanted to make sure I had at least some regionals shows under my belt, I also wanted to polish my package as much as I could and get to a point where I would look and be like ok, I am ready now. I also wanted to feel like a natural on my posing and I didn't think that would happen with 1 or 2 shows to hit a national, but that's me personally, please I hope no one feels attacked by, if you have done it after one or two shows. We all have our times, and I wasn't there yet. The main point of waiting for all of this was to make sure when I spent the money on it, I would somehow be confident enough I had a chance. I am not to underestimating myself but in all honesty to be considered of all other amazing people who have been working longer and as hard or harder than me for this. #💯 competing isn't cheap, nationally doubles it all, if that makes sense?! That said, the countdown has began. #realtalk I was going to cover my face with an apple, heart or whatever emoji to cover the 💀 of death but honestly I don't care, to me if you don't look like that by the end of your prep means you didn't work hard enough.
