Found this cleaning the studio today...my inks over the blue line from the infamous MARVEL TRY-OUT book. I remember this book being a huge deal in my teens amidst a fast growing comic culture. I don’t think I ever sent any of my work on the try-out pages in. Legend has it that marvel mainstay writer @jasonaaron won the writing portion of the completion. I think @officialmarkbagleyart won as the pencilled, and turned it into a historic Marvel career. My inks sucks pretty bad! Day 1 I don't really have a theme in approaching this commitment (really i could be doing anything throughout this whole time) but i did want to try my hand more at posing, and i'm pretty happy with the way the cloth turned out. It's all in sharpie for lack of a better imagination so late at night. I was thinking of something between defeat and giving up.
