And two of the best Episodes ever Battle of the Bastards and the Winds of Winter... the R+L=J reveal, Cersei's revenge, everything is perfection. I even loved Danys scenes...

I just miss the times. When I rewatch GOT I stop most of the times after season 6. I would always choose S6 over every other season.

Because Jon and Sansa healed my GOT tortured soul. These tender moments those two shared were so unusual for GOT, I couldn’t believe my eyes.

Those were the moments every other ship dreamed of.

I miss my babies.

This is the sort of girlboss quote the show leaned into, maybe to try to prove it wasn't sexist: surface level, easy to cheer for but ultimately hollow. I will admit this one in particular worked on me at first even when others didn't. Why it doesn't anymore is because of what it means: that Winterfell, the building, is what Sansa wants, not what it represents or its contents (read: the people). And I don't think that's true (though it does seem to be the show's view).

What is home if you don't have the people there who make it so? Especially considering what show!Sansa went through in her home in Season 5, I wouldn't have been surprised if she didn't want to go back. So is it the familiarity? That it's "hers"? That doesn't feel like enough to warrant ditching the only family she has left at that point (Jon) to go after something on her own. And it also doesn't sound like Sansa (that's D's story, getting back to a place solely because it's "hers").

It's the same reason why Sansa ending up the QitN feels a little hollow to me. (And maybe that's how I realized I didn't like that S6 line anymore). Sure, she's in Winterfell, but we don't recognize anyone at her coronation. It's deeply sad to me. There's no emotion in that scene. Compare it to the relief and emotion we see in her reunions with Jon, Bran, and Arya. The people are what matter.

And what matters to me in that S6 scene is what comes first. "I want you to help me." Because Winterfell isn't just a building or a seat of power. It represents family coming together, fighting the cold and the dark and surviving together. "The pack survives." "In winter, we must protect one another."
