Spending time with the rescued elephants in the Elephant Sanctuary several hours out of Kuala Lumpur was definitely a highlight of the trip! It’s sad that the situation that caused the need to relocate these elephants had even happened though, it’s all due to the deforestation and planing of palm trees for oil that devastated the elephants habitat.
