Yay, I didnāt expect to get an ask!Ā The first character I first fell in love withGEORGE. Sheās such a fantastic character with so much depth, and the one I miss the most. Apathetic teenagers are common on TV, yes, but none are as well-written as her.Ā
The character I never expected to love as much as I do nowDaisy, Daisy Adair. Initially I was bitter about her replacing Betty. I think she was written as deliberately vapid as possible. But starting mid-season 2 I think, maybe even earlier, she became incredibly sympathetic.The character everyone else loves that I donāt -Ā The character I love that everyone else hatesĀ Honestly, the fandom is so microscopic, I have no idea who the fandom favourites are. I have a soft spot for Georgeās father Clancy and I donāt suppose he has many fans. I donāt like anyone that everyone else also probably hates.The character I used to love but donāt any longerĀ I loved Betty at the startā¦ but then she rejected Georgeās friendship. George is precious to me, if you canāt tell :PThe character I would totally smoochĀ GEORGE. And Mason, as a bonus. Because I love Callum Blue.

Ray I think his name was. And Iād do far worse than slap, he made my skin crawl.A pairing that I loveĀ Heh. George/Mason. My shipperās heart says they shouldāve had a nice, awkward friends-to-lovers sort of relationship. Though Iāve read a couple of fics where theyāre just platonic, and thatās fine too (but that was more because they were incomplete stories *sigh*)Ā A pairing that I despiseĀ Despise is a strong word for it, but George/Trip was a bit macabre. You hook up witth a girl that you met right before your father died? And thatās not counting the fact that she reaped him. Iād have been happier if Georgeād had a thing with the schizophrenic guy from early season 1, their interactions were awkwardly adorable. As a sidenote, Tripās apparently played by Robin Dunne? Weird. Of course, I watched Sanctuary later.
Hi!Have you seen the news that there will be a second season for Top of The Lake?Jane Campion and Gerard Lee writers and producers of the first season have signed for it, but that's all we know: we don't have much details about the settings, actors involved and if it will be an different plot like for an anthology or the continuation of s1.I was happy with the fact that it was a mini series because it helped imo to not drag the story and was very well executed in this format. I had not heard of this! Thank you for letting me know! I just read Jane Campionās interview for the Telegraph and Iām actually really excited now. Top of the Lake works brilliantly as a miniseries but (without speculating whether season 2 will be a hit or a miss or neither) I can see season 2 expanding on the themes introduced in season 1. I would love for Elisabeth Moss to reprise her role as Robin Griffin and season 2 to touch upon characters and events from season 1 but Iāll be happy with an anthology format too. To be honest,Ā as long as fascinating female characters, crime and New Zealand nature remain at the center of the show, Iāll be thrilled. That's my very subjective opinion.

Hi, just popping to ask your opinion about the last casting news in Hannibal. I'm sure Tao will be fantastic but i can't stop myself to think that if Bryan said the truth and the writers cast her essentially to do some (presumably badass) stuff that only a young actress could do, that's maybe because they needed to replace Abigail, to redistribute pieces of the role that she could have played if she had been on the plane. I'm sill looking for her and her storyline in every new spoiler despite
the evidences and the fact that itās been 5 months already, how long does it take to stop mourning a fictional character?
Hi there! Iām tentatively excited to hear that Tao is cast as Chiyoh, not Murasaki, because that could mean we get to see both ladies on the show (and what is better than one new lady character, is two new lady characters). See, but I hadnāt thought about Chiyoh being a replacement for Abigail. I hope not, but I guess she could be, as theyāre of similar age. However from what I remember of Chiyoh in the book she is more gentle and well-behaved than Abigail, so I canāt imagine her committing violence or participating in manipulations in the way that Abigail might.Ā
I had assumed that they were using Chiyoh rather than Murasaki because they wanted to explore some sexual elements with Hannibal (maybe in flashbacks) - and having a sexual relationship between an older family member and a young man would be too controversial. Whereas a relationship between Chiyoh and Hannibal would be more socially acceptable. Though I might be totally off-base about that.
Regarding Abi, I havenāt moved on to the mourning stage yet, Iām still in denial. ButĀ I agree that the signs about her future on the show do not look good :/

I would love a question about Abigail. Nobody asks about her unless it's related to the "murder family"....I'd like to watch a parallel storyline between her and Mischa, but i'm not even sure they intend to cast Mischa
Broaching the Mischa issue is one of the things I'd be tempted to do, but I really doubt they're going to spill the beans about her yet. I'd also love to know what Abigail was doing in Hannibal's basement for the duration of S2 -- maybe that would be a good question to ask, but I have a feeling all the responses would be jokes and silliness.
