My Phone Was Stolen Today
Today was a sad day. Having only just past it's first birthday my HTC Desire fell from my pocket while cycling. I shudder to think of what it looked like after the fall but, whatever state it was in, it was picked picked up by our Thief only five minutes later. Mr Thief (or Mrs Thief, choose your own adventure) then walked to the famed Chicago Bean where he reflected upon his crime. I can only hope you could not look at your face for long Mr Thief.
Mr Thief then walked to and boarded the Orange Line, at this point my phone was ringing every twenty minutes or so, Mr Thief coldly ignored these calls. Within an hour Mr Thief was at his home on West 58th Place near the corner of Springfield Avenue. Its one of these homes by the way.
Well Mr Thief, despite my best efforts, the trail runs cold here. I cannot locate your exact house, you have alluded me and the Chicago Police Department. However I hope you enjoy listening to the How to Train Your Dragon Soundtrack. I hope maybe you'll find the tweet of a screenwriter amusing. I hope you look at photos of Dublin City on a rainy day and realise how comforting they can be when one is very far from home. I hope you open the Tumblr app and see just how close I came to finding you. I have a small consolation knowing that the next time you turn my phone on a hidden app named Prey will kick in. An alarm you can't turn off will ring, warning messages will appear and I really hope that when they do, you shit yourself. Even if only a little bit.
My knowledge of Mr Thief's location comes from a combination of Prey and my tracking history in Google Lattitude. Both of which are excellent.
