“Good Friendship Feels Like Home”

Not every friendship is loud.

Not every friendship is constant messages or endless calls.

Some friendships are quieter than that.

But the good ones?

They feel like home.

It’s Not About How Often You Talk

A good friend isn’t someone you have to talk to every day.

It’s someone you can go days, even weeks without speaking to… and still feel the same connection when you come back.

No awkwardness. No distance. No need to explain why you disappeared for a while.

Just a simple, “Hey,” and everything falls back into place.

You Don’t Have to Pretend

With the right people, you don’t perform.

You don’t have to be funnier, smarter, or more interesting.

You don’t rehearse your words. You don’t overthink your messages.

You can be quiet. You can be messy. You can be completely yourself.

And somehow, that’s enough.

They Understand the Unsaid

Good friendships aren’t built only on words.

They’re built on understanding.

The kind where:

They know something’s wrong without you saying it

They notice when your energy changes

They sit with you in silence without making it uncomfortable

Not everything needs to be explained.

Expecting a book on actual friendship - the cultivating and care of, what I found was a book more on friends and identity. 

If you go into this looking for a book on friendship, you’ll likely be disappointed. However, what it is is an extremely interesting read and I would recommend for some (likely) new ways to think about friends.
