Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!
Thank you all for the support this year, I hope to bring some cooler stuff in 2019.
I drew my favorite boys once again for the holidays like last year. I decided Iâm going to make it a âlast post of the year traditionâ now.
If anything happens...blame it on the dragon.
1. Be brave! Take a step out of your comfort zone. Do something you wouldn't have thought possible a year ago. There is so much to gain. 2. Forgive yourself. In the past, you've forgiven people who deserved it less than you do right now. You are human, you make mistakes and you take wrong turns. You can't hold your errors and faults against yourself forever. Forgiveness is key. 3. Try to believe that every mistake and every wrong choice you make helps you get to where you're supposed to be. That maybe friends drift apart for a reason, that a failed relationship is a well-hidden lesson. Sometimes it's hard to find a point in things that hurt you. But there always is one, no matter how long it takes you to understand. 4. Letting go and moving on is not a race. It's not a competition or a contest on who cares less. Take your time to heal. Move at your own pace. 5. Tell them you miss them. Tell them, or they will never know. For all you know, they probably miss you as well. 6. Don't let the fear of change, the fear of trying new things, stop you. Ever. In the end we only regret what we didn't do. 7. Trust your gut. As stupid as it sounds, listen to your heart. If you have a bad feeling about a situation, voice it. Act on it. Youâve been through enough to trust in the way you feel about something or someone. 8. If someone leads you on, if they make you feel like youâre not worth their time, but draw you in again once they notice you distancing yourself, cut them out of your life. You deserve so much better than someone who treats you like a person thatâs easily replaced. 9. Donât sell yourself short. Donât hide your light under a bushel. Youâre here, youâre loved and you matter. 10. Itâs never too late for a new dream. Itâs never too late to discover something that makes your heart beat faster and gives you purpose. If you find it, hold on to it.
10 things to keep in mind for 2019 / n.j.
Happy New Year
If you survived your suicidal thoughts, I am proud of you. If you made a milestone in being clean, I am excited for you. If you relapsed, I love you. If youâre still struggling this very moment with your mental health, I am still so fucking proud of you.
as another year comes to a close i could end it by saying âgood riddanceâ but i would much rather say âthank youâ for all of the pain that became potential for all of the let downs that were blessings in disguise for all of the failures that turned out to be lessons learned thank you for the growth i didnât realize i was experiencing for making me stronger when i only felt weak for helping me realize that there is always good in something if you know where to look and thank you for showing me where to look

"Lazy in Space" Sketchbook & Digital, 2018 Not unlike how Puppycat resonates in this piece, 2018 has felt exhausting. I can't help but feel like it's been the longest year I've had in a very long time; so I thought it would be fitting then to end the year on my last piece being one of anticipation for what's to come in 2019 (I'm stoked about Bee & Puppycat: Lazy in Space!) A new year is always full of the promises that could lie in wait around the corner, the potential of change that we measure some aspect of our lives against. This incoming year, I want to start working not towards the "new me", but rather an iteration derived of the culminations of this year to see how they manifest in the next rather than these "start" & "quit" points. To widen and lengthen my scope of me; a more liquid self, that adapts to the changes in the landscape of life rather than takes the brunt of the hits and tries to buff them out at the end of every year. Happy New Years đ
