the latest game changer feels like if somebody gave drugs to kindergarteners
the dear episodes are already so good with the little vignettes and everybody getting a little scene to shine but the fact that its charles.... chefs kiss
I've decided pretty definitively that episode 7 of season 2 is my favorite of the season. We got Ili Ili, Santos and Robby gossiping and "our fucking Huckleberry", scar reveal, SANE nurse Dana, and of course the ever iconic
Ventress be like: ok yeah she’s force sensitive but if I told her that she was a Jedi I’d have to take her and train her and she clearly doesn’t want to be apart from you guys so I’m gonna keep this between us ok
The bad batch: she’s clearly lying about something but I can’t tell what

And that's the end of The Green Ninja! I think this episode is definitely very special to me. It marks the end of Kai's arc, positions Lloyd as the new main character, and throws some nice drama in between Lloyd and Garmadon that is gonna be delicious to watch unfold.
Now, I want to address two things, A) the Kai arc, B) Lloyd.
I've seen the claim thrown around that Kai's arc is saying "you aren't important and you should prioritize others before yourself always" and I feel like that's a pretty damn bullshit takeaway. My takeaway from this arc has been "sometimes you need to think beyond what you want and think about others for a change," I dunno where people got the former idea from.
Then there's Lloyd. I like Lloyd, I'm fond of him. Do I think it was the right idea to take the main character spotlight and give it to Lloyd? Ehh. Do I think this episode handles the rather controversial idea well? Yes. I think seeing Kai grow violently obsessed with the role of Green Ninja and being forced to take a step back and realize he isn't the most important person in every situation ever and he Can relax is good, but it's kinda odd how they took him out of the main character role given he is literally the textbook stubborn spiky-haired protagonist. He was literally made to be a main character ToT. Regardless I can't complain that much, Lloyd has had his ups and downs as a character but I like the positives of him a lot.
All in all I love this episode and what it does for Kai, it's some real nice stuff.
I am suing this man for making me cry so damn much this episode. Also the c, the c, the open c episode nearly kills me. Too much loss in one episode.
