JOKE-OGRAPHY: 1. In this Bible story, Abraham has shown hospitality to representatives of the Lord. As two of the guests travel on to judge the sinful cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, the Lord stays with Abraham to talk. Abraham humbly reminds the Lord that He is a just God Who surely wouldn't sweep away the innocent with the guilty. He asks if the Lord would spare the cities for the sake of 50 innocents, and the Lord says He would. Abraham asks the same question again and again, lessening the number by 5 each time, and each time the Lord replies that He would spare the cities for the sake of the innocents. 2. In this cartoon, the conversation between the Lord and Abraham begins in much the same way, though when the Lord catches onto Abraham's countdown, He gives a tired, "Oh, boy," because He knows He's going to be talking in circles for a while.
