Our Literacy with The Heard Program starts Tuesday and we are looking for consistent volunteers to work with kids in the Westside. We’ll provide them a hot dinner, help with reading or schoolwork, and then do a program led by Keosha Brewster-Holloway of The Heard. Meet at Renaissance Presbyterian Church anytime between 4:30-6:00. Or email Hope for a ride. Join us Sunday evenings for Bible Study and Brinner. Bible Study starts at 6:00pm. Brinner (Breakfast for Dinner) starts at 7:00pm. You don't have to attend Bible Study to join us for Brinner. What do you mean when you say bible study?  Some students are seeking a progressive campus ministry to learn more about the Bible, God, theology and how those things inform the way we are to live in the world. Some identify as Christian, others identify as other faiths, on the journey to discovery, or just curious. But it's not necessary to participate in any programs in order to make our space your space. But we also know some young people are yearning for a place to dig deep into scripture with theologies that value, for example, womanist, feminist, mujeristic, Asian American, etc., theologies, that see scripture as affirming of our LGBTQIA+ siblings, that look toward ecology, the environment, and economics, that are seeking a God of justice and mercy that cares about the least of these, that seeks to be antiracist, and yearns for the liberation of all God's creation. #utchattanooga #gomocs #freefood (at Friends of Hope at UTC) https://www.instagram.com/p/CiTKgompoW3/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
