Embracing God's Preeminence in Every Facet of Life
In the foundational days of Anointed Connect Church, a visionary online community aimed at fostering faith and empowerment globally, I, Jermaine Whiteside, was tasked with steering our mission with zeal and commitment. Our purpose was clear, yet the demands of administrative responsibilities and worldly distractions often obscured the journey. Within the crucible of a pivotal meeting, an elder, a beacon of faith shaped by years of divine wisdom, proposed a sacred practice: to commit ourselves to daily group prayer before any undertaking.
This proposal, steeped in spiritual depth, was met with mixed responses. Amidst our tasks' immediacy, I inadvertently sidelined this call to spiritual depth. This misstep would soon be illuminated by God's teaching hand.
As dawn unfurled its light the morning after our assembly, I was confronted with a divine revelation. Through His infinite grace and wisdom, the Lord revealed my oversight. This wasn't conveyed through words but through a profound lesson in divine will: an unexpected impediment to one of my recent achievements. This humbling experience laid bare my vulnerabilities.
At this juncture of loss, an eternal verity emerged, resounding with the scriptural wisdom of ages. The Lord gently reminded me of Matthew 6:33, urging, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." This moment served as a divine prompt, highlighting that this world's pursuits and accolades are fleeting shadows without His blessing.
This experience was a divine call to recenter our faith. The elder's advice transcended mere suggestion, emerging as a crucial key to unlocking the abundance of God's blessings. It was a divine mandate to elevate God above all our plans and dreams, as Proverbs 3:6 guides, "In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
Regardless of how busy, driven, hard-working, or hard-studying, no one is so successful to be exempt from this clarification. Seek His presence in every part of your life! This is our priority. Your three top daily priorities should consist of spending time with the Lord. Every success in your life and ministry will spring from the sanctuary of God's presence. James 4:8 says, "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you."
As I share this journey, I earnestly hope it serves as a guiding light for us all. Let us not linger for a divine sign to grasp the importance of positioning God at the forefront of our lives and ministries. Let us wholeheartedly embrace the discipline of seeking His will daily, ensuring that prayer transcends being a mere item on our agenda to become the foundation upon which all decisions stand.
To close, I would like to dedicate this narrative and our journey forward to our Powerful God. As I constantly seek Him, I am aware of Psalm 37:5 — "Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act." May this narrative inspire us to re-prioritize, recognizing the value of our relationship with the Creator and that in His presence is where we find clarity, peace, and direction. Let us commit to putting Him first. That done, the door to the life of purpose and fulfillment that He has ordained for us is unlocked. Amen!
Amen.

Title: "Breaking Down the Tower of Division: Embracing God's Unified Message"
Introduction:
Dear brothers and sisters, today, we gather to reflect on the timeless biblical story of the Tower of Babel and explore how it relates to the racial and tribal divides that persist in our world today. The narrative in Genesis 11 teaches us valuable lessons about the consequences of human pride and division, while offering profound insights into the importance of embracing God's unified message as a united body of believers.
1. The Tower of Babel - Genesis 11:1-9
a. In the days of old, humanity came together with a shared language and ambitious hearts to build a tower reaching the heavens. Their unity, however, was not centered on God's will but driven by self-centered desires for greatness.
b. God saw their arrogance and confusion, and in His wisdom, He intervened by confounding their language and scattering them across the earth. This division disrupted their collective plans and highlighted the consequences of trying to build without God as the foundation.
2. Division in the Modern World:
a. Sadly, the consequences of division continue to be felt in our world today. Racial and tribal divides persist, hindering our ability to receive and embrace God's message of love, redemption, and unity.
b. In our attempts to build our own towers of power and control, we have allowed pride, fear, and prejudice to create walls that separate us from one another. Such divisions not only fracture society but also hinder our ability to fully comprehend and receive God's truth.
3. Embracing God's Unified Message:
a. Galatians 3:28 reminds us, "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."
b. As followers of Christ, we are called to tear down the walls of division and embrace God's unified message. It is through Christ's sacrifice and love that we can find true unity and understanding, transcending all cultural, racial, and tribal barriers.
4. Reflecting God's Image in Unity:
a. In John 13:35, Jesus declares, "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another."
b. Our unity as the body of Christ reflects God's image and testifies to the transformative power of His love. When we come together, regardless of our backgrounds, we display the beauty of God's diverse creation, and His message of redemption becomes clear and compelling to the world.
Conclusion:
Dear friends, the story of the Tower of Babel reminds us of the consequences of human pride and division. Let us be vigilant and intentional in breaking down the barriers that separate us from one another, so that we may receive God's message with open hearts and united spirits.
As we strive for unity in the midst of diversity, may we be a living testament to God's transformative love and grace. Let us extend our hands to one another, embracing the beauty of our differences, and reflecting God's image in our unified love.
Together, as a united body of believers, we can overcome the Tower of Division and proclaim God's message of hope and reconciliation to a world in desperate need of His unifying grace.
Remember this sermon when you hear your fellow brothers and sister demonize the words diversity.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

GOD IS LOVE
Whosoever will admit that Jesus is the Child of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. What's more, we have known and accepted the adoration that God hath for us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in affection dwelleth in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:15-16
