The entire time travel arc was way darker than I expected for this show, genuinely. Blew my whole fucking mind the first time I saw it and continues to blow it on subsequent watches. The way they raise the stakes so high and the danger and potential grief of losing the good timeline feels like it has legitimate weight around it, even if you know things will get fixed in the end is genuinely impressive for a show with the age rating it has.
