the audio from the 'teaser' from mark's latest mc vid kinda reminds me of a train (obv with the visual) and also this pitch shifted voice. like the voice has been edited with varispeed or something.

one thing i kinda also notice is at the end of the audio is a melody?? like it reminds of a song that's been pitch shifted down (and sped up??) or something like that

It was a fake.

Couple notes:

1. It’s okay to say it’s bad art. I appreciate all the constructive criticism I’ve gotten on this, it makes me want to post fakes more often! I know my line quality is really shit; I need to get a stablizer and not... draw on my lap. And, you know... git gud lol. The perspective and anatomy tips are appreciated as well. Thank you! Another thing I know is off but I didn’t see anyone say was the gradiant aspects of the shading, which I didn’t emulate here. Part because they’re hard to make look right and hits my upper limit of copying skill and part cos nah. The tones were eyedropped from the skydancer template, so well done for picking up on that!

2. This was actually going to be my take on an ale dragon the barbarian in my DnD group befriended, hence the giveaway bubbles. They’re supposed to be ugly-cute. It’s okay if you think he’s just ugly! Not to make excuses, but I thought of converting it into a fake after the initial sketch, and the dimensions really didn’t favor a sense of authenticity, no matter how I fudged it.

3. :’) thank you for saying nice things about this flubbery bubbly boy. I love him in game. His name is Buddy and his voice sounds like Barry White. He’s incredibly mellow and a pacifist and a good, good boy. He’s friends with my character’s homunculus, TJ (who looks like a sphinx cat with wings, also very ugly-cute). It’s super cute.

4. I really love seeing pokemon starter leaks, and even when they prove to be false I’ve always loved the excitment and surprise of finding out. I love the players on fr and wanted to give them a little fun like that. I know the community is itching for a new breed right now, and being from water since opening day the Tidelord’s absence is one I feel keenly and seemed to make most sense for a fake. I hope a real one is soon to follow! Sorry guardians, but you’re not the best water rep :/

5. The only thing that I’ve seen that I strongly disagree with is someone implying that staff couldn’t accidentally release one of the psds before it was ready. I am absolutely certain they could find a way. (iirc, the psd for the nocturne was up like... a minute before the official release was. Not that it much mattered; the site was locked at the time, but it still technically happened lmao)
