IMPORTANT: while this isn’t an official hiatus, the news of Heeseung’s departure has truly shocked me to the point that I can’t physically bring myself to update any wips I have, including this one. I have so many ideas for this, but I’m in such a weird headspace that I can’t write it as quickly as I used to. I hope I can bounce back because I really do love writing this story. ❤️‍🩹

finally caved and made a yume oc/self insert so i can touch netzach freaky style. probably wont be public about it in the future though because im very shy. say hi to Poinsettia. theyre a big fan of art/doing art, is practically netzachs dog and worships the dude (hes confused abt it but doesnt mind), hyperactive, passionate, kind of a beam of sunshine.

theyre also very extroverted and lovey dovey because back in LC they wielded twilight and i made a headcanon the fuck up where twilight users arent allowed to form deep bonds with anybody, because apoc bird formed from the birds extreme and obsessive desires to protect what they loved, so people who wear the shell of twilight are also overprotective/paranoid and out for blood whenever they sense the slightest danger all the time. so giving them someone or something they deeply want to protect is a recipe for disaster. now that they dont have to wield twilight anymore theyre free to love whoever they want and theyre getting drunk off the feeling.

Lemme pick your brain for a sec; Stalker!Dennis stalking Jack without realizing that Jack's been in the game a lot longer than he has. Jack thinks it's cute that this kid is trying to sneak around his house like he hasn't got cameras in almost every corner. It's like watching a baby animal pounce on their dad (fauxcest wink wink nudge nudge)

It starts off so innocent. Dennis wants to find a way to prompt more conversations with Jack because he's just so shy. Dr. Abbot can be so intimidating and Dennis just needs to find some common ground to spark a little interest.

So it's logical, to Dennis, that he can do this by just. You know.

But their relationship was always secondary to the novels being a political statement.

This is an actual interview with Atsuko Asano, about her inspiration for city of No.6. She quite literally said one of her inspirations for it was the political environment in the USA, following 9/11.

For her to choose to continue this series right now, after so many years, is probably not a coincidence.

Their struggles are eerily similar to what many real people face in our world all the time.

I have a feeling there will be some pretty important themes in this new series.

I hope those who read it can appreciate every element of it - not only our beloved characters, but the reason they have a story to begin with.
