Gnomevember day thirty!! Snow.

Closing out the month with the @tockthegnome version of Snow White! To match yesterday's post. I feel like she's just had an argument with her sibling and their new Dwarven family, has wandered out into the snowy wood for a breather, and ends up re-enchanted by her namesake ❄️

To clarify again - yes, Gnomish Snow White, with sister Rose Red who becomes Red Riding Hood. More on Snow and her sapphic Dwarven love interest here. and notes on their full stories here and here.

This week - from the prompt (which led to thoughts of both a bark of laughter, and to thoughts of puppies, but the closest thing I've established to dogs in this realm are Woooolves) - we are looking at a continuation of the story of a certain Gnomish fairy-tale princess, though this part of her story is not often told from a Gnomish perspective.....

Gnomevember day twenty-six!! Warp.

Featuring my Gnomish take on Sigyn, Goddess of Constancy from Norse mythology (and one of my Patrons).

Since one of Her bynames is "Incantation-Fetter," I believe She must be powerful in Seiðr (ancient Norse magickal practice), especially defensive magicks, even though so little specific context and details are left of Her lore for us. Personal gnosis, yes, but it just feels right and makes sense!! Plus, I've seen Seiðr described as fiber arts magic - weaving magic! - so "warp" as in weaving, and in this case the magic taking weaving's form as She casts some shielding (likely to protect Herself and Her loved ones, of course!).

Shoutout also to Cat Rector's "Unwritten Runes" series, which tackles a more magical take on Our Lady in such a fun and intense way!! Highly recommend.
