What were your top three most anticipated BLs from the 2025 showcase? Are they still your top 3? Why or Why not? Not sure we had top 3 and they would have been different anyway, but we were definitely disappointed by several that we were really looking forward to. Expectations can be a bitch.

Which series ended up being the biggest surprise of the year? Our top three are all there because they surprised us. Love You Teacher blew us away with the emotional impact and messaging. Me And Thee was a complete surprise! We were not expecting to enjoy this series so much, but it committed to the over the top ridiculous and we found it so much fun! And My Romance Scammer gave us delicious acting and some really fun comedy, but the lack of "forgive and forget" was refreshing and we gave it lots of bonus points for that.

Which series was the biggest letdown compared to your expectations? This one will probably shock people because it is clearly a fave... Memoir of Rati. Our expectations absolutely ruined this one for us. It wasn't that it was bad, just wasn't what we wanted it to be.

Don't Be Too Emotional Thailand🏳️‍🌈 (watching live) Total popcorn. Here to feed our dopamine addiction. 😂 Can't say that we are rooting for these two, but real curious to see what happens next. Mr. Kill Thailand (watching live) Still loving.every.minute! It is Tuesday yet??? Deep In China🏳️‍🌈 (completed) Big love for this series. We were so invested in both stories. And then the ending!!! Need to watch it again. When Oranges Fall Thailand🏳️‍🌈 (completed) This was unbelievably sweet and cute and we loved these precious boys. We were surprised how much we enjoyed this series. Peach And Me Thailand🏳️‍🌈 (completed) Can't believe we got more of Thee/Peach and Rome/Mok! It was exactly what we wanted it to be. Be My Player Two Thailand🏳️‍🌈 (watching live) We are having way too much fun watching Maxky and Bas. Payback Thailand🏳️‍🌈 (completed) Well that was delicious! Toxic and terrible with a million triggers, but soooo fun! We are sad it's over. The Edge of Horizon Thailand🏳️‍🌈 (watching live) Took only a minute to start and catch up on this series. Wow. So much drama! Don't know how y'all have been watching this one episode at a time.

Devil Judge MDL Korea (ep 1/16) This somehow snuck in here when we were looking for something to watch after Payback and nothing on our list seemed to fit our mood. Odd choice? Maybe. But we are seated firmly after episode 1.

Shop For Killers season 2 MDL Korea Planning to start this week! EXCITED!!! The Legend of Kitchen Soldier MDL Korea Dori's offspring got us interested and @my-rose-tinted-glasses confirmed it will be a fun watch. Probably starting this soon... A Winter Sun Wakes the Wind in Spring Hills China🏳️‍🌈 Finally going to let ourselves start this one!

Love Class 3 Korea🏳️‍🌈 (completed) Let's be honest, they had us at kpop bandmates. This story was way too short to be done well, and it definitely should not have been a live watch. Overall, we were entertained enough to keep coming back. But we wish it had been longer/better and really wish they had given us more at the end. ChermChey Thailand🏳️‍🌈 (completed) "What the fuck are we watching?!" and why do we like it so much? The sound effects, role play, flirting... these characters are so weird and goofy and it was fun seeing Tutor and Yim play them. Also really enjoyed Yim with a nose piercing! Knot Thailand🏳️‍🌈 (watching live) The script is soooo bad. Apparently we were too greedy. But we are here for the mpreg and will remain seated until the end. Bless the stylists for making Boat look like an absolute snack!!! A Dog and A Plane Thailand🏳️‍🌈 (6/10) Really enjoying this series. It's been a fun watch. Can't wait for the happy ending! It wasn't because it was soooo painful. We have watched WAY worse! But it was too real and that made it so much sadder. Deep In China🏳️‍🌈 (ep 7/12) Ahhhhhh! Don't talk to us right now. The Prosecutor's Proposal Korea🏳️‍🌈 (completed) We watched episode 1 and immediately knew mistakes were made. So paused until the week of the finale and then binged ep 2-8 in 24 hours. 😁 We were very invested and firmly seated. We wish it had more time to give us chess instead of checkers, but we were entertained. When Oranges Fall Thailand🏳️‍🌈 (ep 5/12) Help! Why is this so cute and precious???! Peach And Me Thailand🏳️‍🌈 (watching live) LOVE IT!!!! Can't believe we get more of Thee/Peach and Mok/Rome! So happy! It's going to be over way too fast. Be My Player Two Thailand🏳️‍🌈 (watching live) Episode one was everything we hoped it would be!!! And then episode 2 was even better! Expectations are not being managed! Payback Thailand🏳️‍🌈 (ep 4/10) Finally letting ourselves watch this and we are seated so hard our butts hurt!

This feels statistically ridiculous, so maybe the results are influenced by accounts we have interacted with. The Gelboys post only has 5 likes, so it can't be popularity. It has to prioritize mutuals or something. Plus the Gelboys post has an actual Gelboys GIF... first! But that is not what showed up. So the tumblr GIF search is broken is very weird ways. It is clearly trying, but also epically failing.

Fake Fact Lips Japan🏳️‍🌈 (completed/watched live) YAY! Character/relationship growth with everyone being open and honest and vulnerable. Episode 10 made our faces hurt from smiling so much! This series was really great and we loved it! This was a highlight in our week and we will miss it. Love of Silom Thailand🏳️‍🌈 (completed/watched live) The acting was great and there was a lot we really enjoyed about this series. Unfortunately, this story just didn't suck us in the way we wanted it to and we are sad about that. But we ate up every second of Singto!!! Put this kid in EVERYTHING NOW! WU Thailand (completed/watched live) The plot was entertaining and the acting was good. Just really wished they had stuck to platonic found family love instead of whatever that was because our feelings clouded our enjoyment of this series. Absolute Value of Romance Korea (completed) A high school girl writing BL online about her hot teachers... this concept was fun and there were a lot of hilarious moments. But even if we really enjoyed the main character, the friendships, and the overall messaging, we struggled with a story that centered around BL as a punchline without including any positive queer messaging. We held out hope the entire time, but in the end, this series let us down and even felt homophobic at times. So we got the ick and everything we loved about it was overshadowed by that. 😢 Fourever You 2 Thailand🏳️‍🌈 (completed) We loved this entire series! The special was cuuuute! Could definitely see this being a comfort rewatch someday. Love Class 3 Korea🏳️‍🌈 (watching live) When did the info update to 16 episodes??? Not complaining because with 5 second episodes, they need more! Absolute popcorn. No nutritional value from this snack of a show, but combining idols with BL means this is exactly the kind of junk food we eat up! This is suffering as a live watch though. Life In Smokey Blue Japan🏳️‍🌈 (completed) LOVE! It's so quiet and mature and real. Really beautiful slice of life 🥰 Your Dear Daddy Thailand🏳️‍🌈 (completed) That popcorn watch left us disappointed and unsatisfied. Wishing we had spent those calories on something else. Journey With You China🏳️‍🌈 (completed) This felt like a Kill To Love fix-it fic! 🤣 Definitely a popcorn watch. We ate, but only because we had a craving and we couldn't stop once we started. ChermChey Thailand🏳️‍🌈 (ep 6/10) At least once every episode we have a "what the fuck are we watching?!" moment! But also, we smile a lot and are having fun. So we like it? We couldn't tell you what the point of this story is, but the characters are weird and goofy and it's been fun seeing Tutor and Yim play them. Knot Thailand🏳️‍🌈 (watching live) How does the main character not know what secondary gender is?! Episode one had us hoping it gets better... but episode two made us realize it doesn't have to! LOL! It is bad and we laughed so much. Entertained. The Lie We Lived In Korea🏳️‍🌈 (completed) You'd think we would be tired of popcorn 🤣 This series was not good, but we were entertained while we watched and that was all we asked of it! Dual Stars Taiwan🏳️‍🌈 (completed) Another series that wasn't the strongest, but also, we weren't mad we watched it. There were things we really enjoyed and things we didn't. It was good enough for us. A Dog and A Plane Thailand🏳️‍🌈 (4/10) We were trying to wait on this one, but tumblr gave us fomo. This one has been so fun and we are really enjoying it. Even though we are going to be out of episodes way too quickly, glad we started it. Don't Be Too Emotional Thailand🏳️‍🌈 (watching live) More popcorn! And this one seems like it's going to be extra cheesy. The song is CRACKING US UP!!! We can't stop laughing every time it comes on. And the kissing sound effects 🤣 But we are eating this up! Mr. Kill Thailand (watching live) We are really excited for this one! Episode one was solid and the acting is SO GOOD!!! It's impossible for us not to have expectations with this one, so hope it doesn't let us down.

Older Series:

Dark Blue Kiss Thailand🏳️‍🌈 (COMPLETED!) @watchthisqqq convinced us not to drop it and we are glad we finished it. We were frustrated with some of the behaviors/choices, but we understand the characters and the reasons behind the choices. It won't make the top of our favorites list, but we can see why people love it so much. And it was really fun to see Tay and New as babies. Weak Hero Class 1 Korea (completed) Dori's little has been BEGGING us to watch this... loudly... and repeatedly... FOREVER! It was painful to watch, but really good and we are already seated for the next season. Kill To Love Chinese series from Singapore?🏳️‍🌈 (completed) Letting you pick our next watch felt like it might have been a mistake. But even though we were initially not convinced it was "worth the pain", we have to admit that we are grateful it won to poll since we never would have made ourselves watch it and would have missed out on this story.
