I have done a bunch of small and larger projects on the Impreza here's a few pics of them. It's made the car feel much better than before.
Painted the original floor mats black instead of throwing them away. Reinstalled the windshield washer reservoir, relocated the fuel pressure regulator and remade the fuel lines that feed into it.
Removed the entire dash to install a new heater (removed the original cause I didn't need it where I used to live). Also took the time to reroute the harness better, replace every missing nut and bolt and made sure everything was correctly installed.
I managed to break the original radio/HVAC bezel but found a new one. Also took the time to fix some wiring and to adjust the radio position so I didn't have to modify the bezel for it to fit.
After reinstalling everything in the interior the car started misfiring and felt sluggish . Thought it was something in the wiring but ended up being a spark plug. This was the 3rd or 4th time I'd change the spark plugs since building this engine 10k miles ago and decided to also change the coil packs for new, 2002-03 EJ205 specific models.
While I was fixing things everywhere I took some time to straighten the bent intercooler fins. Came out okay for the little amount of patience I have for these things.
Since my new home will be a state where salt is used when it snows it was time for its first anticorrosion treatment and it came out amazing. Love how uniform everything looks now.
And for the last piece (of the moment) I found a new, genuine pre-facelift accordion boot. After some modification it fit nicely on the 6-speed shifter and looks great with the freshly painted shifter trim.
All of these things summed up make the car feel new and cared for.
