another uncomfortable beat; samantha just stands there until she musters,  “gale ... i know i said it already but  —  i’m really sorry about dewey.”

       a chaos of a laugh irrupted, deep into the muscles of his chest. the slight dampness of his hair and the lack of support on the over stretch of his sleeve. going more over the palm as he cupped it to wrangle it off his body soon enough. left with a clean slip of a shirt under, till his hands patted down. a strange sound hummed before the smirk still laid, a final look over to gale. the way her mouth still jarred open. the perfect line on her stained lips and her eyes glazed with a look to either run or maybe confusion. she couldn’t be with how high her brows were but it was not persistent. ransom was quick to let his hand wave over, an act for attention as if he already had it all. “ I say a lot of shit and its you eating it all up like a damn kid.” a kid on a rush of candy, any time to grab one in sight. he scoffed, the greed of news. the drip of every awaking information to be plastered first. readers, eyes as a deer in headlights as he flicked the switch on to the bathroom. reflection of admiration stared for too long as he brushed his hands to level with the edge of the sink. “ you know.” his voice echoed, far enough to where she stood. watching as she could not phantom to keep her eyes off of him, due to fear or being intrigued of what was going to drop further explanation. “ i’m starving.”           

“I think this is usually the part in the movie where I say how coincidental it is to see you here and how great you look. you do, by the way, but I don’t think this is at all a coincidence.”
