Lindir, Glorfindel and Erestor

This years TRSB has been a blast! The collab with quothhh was absolutely wonderful! They're the best partner I could have wished for! The tone of their writing is exactly what I had imagined! Our talks were always filled with joy and laughter! (Okay, mostly squeaking on my part about their writing!)

Not me suddenly realising I have a linguistics degree and am getting a masters in that which qualifies me to give you the following idea:
Glorfindel has no idea what the everloving fuck everyone is speaking when he's re-embodied. He washes up in the Grey Havens and Círdan obviously knows that one obscure gondolithrim dialect that's probably closer to Quenya than actual Sindarin. That developed into some eldritch language of telerin, noldorin and EVERY OTHER DIALECT of EVERYONE who came to this city. But hey, then Gondolin falls and only a few survive and then most go to Sirion which is then also decimated. Now counting in thousands of years of language change and development you get to Glorfindel arriving in Imladris, absolutely baffled why nobody understands him, he's speaking normally after all.
"Huh, apparently coming back from Valinor scrambles your brain??" some say, and poor guy doesn't even understand.
An in walks Erestor, library degree and sharp smile and asks him in perfect gondolithrim if he is lost.
The apple couples won't leave my feed alone. My only option is to post glorestor.
Rotating the apple in my mind is not enough, now I must deconstruct it.

some Glorfindel x Erestor art :)
(my Erestor is the reincarnation of Ecthelion, having asked and been granted the special chance to literally be reborn in middle earth. This is (in part) the reason Glorfindel returns to middle earth after his reforming in Mandos' hall. He had to find his boo! Who he now has to re-woo bc Erestor, who now doesn't remember Glorfindel or his past life as Echthelion except vague 'past life' memories 😱)
Here it is!!! I have been cooking in every spare moment and finally it is done! AAAaaaaaa!!! This is easily the best drawings of Elrond and Celebrian I've ever done, and the dragon designs for Erestor and Glrofindel literally make me grin every time I look at them :D Originally I planned for these pieces to belong to my Great Beasts AU, however, once I started on the Celebrian and Glorfindel piece I just- I'm just getting the vibe of some sort of arranged marriage au, ah! Elrond and Celebrain just have Such a Vibe about them! I am in love!
These pieces each provided their own difficulties but I'm really really glad I just stuck with it, I could hardly be more pleased!
