Actually I'm a bit sad I didn't realize that I would be leaving the Abyss as a one way trip, not a shortcut to avoid the Diving Bell trip, so I didn't end up sticking it out to fill out the Hunter Journal entries for the Abyss inhabitants. Thankfully Ballow is still okay, and in fact working on repairing the Bell and making it sturdier, but I get the feeling that's meant to be done when it's time to go save Lace. So. Hm.

I did get this one entry filled out, though.

If even Hornet's frightened of it, that makes me simultaneously feel a bit better and even more unsettled by it.

I noticed something fascinating about a month ago. SPOILERS BELOW (in text form)

Some of the fossils you can find in the Marrow look suspiciously like the “faces” of the Gloomsac enemies down in the Abyss. It’s extremely subtle foreshadowing to the existence of Act 3, I’d think.

(I hasten to point out that I only noticed this detail because of this video by The Aether Vivarium.)
