Apparently that screenshot of Blueberry refusing to battle something was the only screenshot I took between seeing the shiny and initiating a battle with it (I mean I remember thinking I was being slightly stupid asking Blueberry to autobattle because that was clearly the shiny) but I shiny-hunted some outbreaks. Why I decided to do three in each version when one would have been enough I don’t know. Some fun similarities between the outbreaks (besides the types of the Pokémon I used because turns out Water and Grass go really well together) 1) both Paldean outbreaks spawned the shiny before the first warning 2) both Glimmora outbreaks spawned the shiny after the third warning and at least one picnic reset 3) the Kitakami outbreaks are in almost exactly the same place 4) both versions had one Kitakamian outbreak where there were actually two right next to each other (although despite how many screenshots I took in Scarlet clearly showing two Glimmet outbreaks on the minimap I didn’t even realise there were two there until after I found the shiny)

I even took screenshots in both versions with a wild Gallade when I got to the Glimmora outbreak (this is also the only screenshot I took where you can see both Glimmora outbreaks on the minimap in Violet and unlike in Scarlet when I finally discovered there were two Glimmet outbreaks I didn’t bother screenshotting the big map for some reason. I’ve closed Violet now bc I want to play Z-A bc I haven’t played in a while I can’t be bothered to reopen Violet rn just for a screenshot of the big map)

Random bonus screenshots of my event Paradoxes and starters (uhh first partner starters not event starters you see that’s how you use starter and first partner. If “starter” implies you box it after you get something stronger then “first partner” implies it can only ever be the first Pokémon you own and trust me I’ve completed the Dex in both versions I own more starters than just the two I picked at Nemona’s house) using their signature moves

Maybe one day I’ll work out no one cares what rewards I get from Tera Raid battles but I fought the poison with some poison (that’s frail and weak to rocks but still I can see why Geeta changed her ace to Kingambit who also happens to be getting a raid this month because even with Moth/Flame’s fragility these raids were easy. Like can you really say you’re incapable of holding back when your ace is part of a species where the strongest one goes down so easily in a raid where it took out the only decent attacker twice/once and I wasn’t even worried about the timer running out even in Scarlet where Moth fainted twice? Kingambit’s a better ace choice. Now I just hope Geeta gets her Flying Tera Kingambit pair in Masters)

Woke up in the middle of the night and we’ve got raids for Grass Tera type Glimmora the Unrivaled (with Glimmet line outbreaks, the only outbreaks here I will be shiny hunting because they’re the only ones that are shiny boosted rather than mark boosted. Unfortunately I didn’t take note of what any of the marks are I’m just glad we’re still getting mark events), Ghost Tera type Annihilape the Unrivaled (with Mankey line outbreaks), Fairy Tera type Farigiraf the Unrivaled (with Girafarig line outbreaks) and Dark Tera type Kingambit the Unrivaled (with Pawniard line outbreaks) and I’m glad the new plan for what I’m doing in Germany means I’m going home slightly earlier now so I have more time to update Poké Portal News during Glimmora’s event because Glimmora is a cool Pokémon
