Going to Fort Dunree
A Look at Fort Dunree Glenevin Falls was just as it was advertised. The falls wasn't anything fantastic, but it was still a nice visit and considering that it is in Inishowen, it might be a worthwhile side trip. Now the days were getting shorter and it was getting dark. We started to head back but we noticed that there were some places in Inishowen which we were along our way home. There is this place called Fort Dunree, it sounds historical but since it was already on the way home, we though that we should try to drop by as well. Through the magic of satellite navigation, we were able to make our way to this rather remote place.

Glenevin Falls
Glenevin Falls in Inishowen I had a nice stroll on our way to Glenevin Falls. There is a nice park which has paths which lead to the falls itself. I was glad that there weren't a lot of people here but it seems that it is popular enough to meet people on the way back. There is only one way in so there is not getting lost here. At the very end of the trail is Glenevin Falls. The falls isn't particularly tall as I expected, however it is a true falls. It is around three stories high and it had a nice breadth to it. This was probably helped in part by some recent rain. The water falls into a small basin which was beyond some rocks, which we don't have access to anymore.

Exploring Glenevin Falls
Some Benches at Glenevin Falls I am not expecting too much from our visit to Glenevin Falls. I don't expect the falls to be very high although with the dark clouds perhaps the falls will have more water than normal. Maybe this is something to look forward to. Glenevin Falls is in the area of Inishowen and it is one of the attractions of the area. The falls can be easily accessed by visitors. This place has been turned into a park and there is a very well made trail within the park. The park makes full use of the streams of water that come through the park and there were several parts of the path where you can cross the stream.

Going to Glenevin Falls
Lovely Streams at Glenevin Falls I had been looking up places of interest in county Donegal and one of the more interesting ones for me was Glenevin Falls. There were certainly a lot of other more interesting places such as hillwalking at heads but in this cold weather, I didn't really feel like going through that. Glenevin Falls was near enough our place that we decided one day to go there. It was a short drive the falls we get to see some nice scenery. Ireland doesn't have a lot of very tall mountains, so I don't expect this place to be jaw dropping, but a waterfall is always nice to look at.
