Evening routine °❀⋆.🍵࿔*:・
Hi cuties!! I've been having excellent evenings the past few days, so I figured I'd share my relaxing evening-to-night routine! Along with my night skincare and beauty routines :3
A quick productive period 📚🧶
Before taking leisure and getting unready for the day, I usually busy myself by doing a small tidy-up session, finishing homeworks, game playing session-- or talking to my friends! This is mainly to make me feel deserving of a good shower and get things off my mind to relax.
I like to shower before the sun fully sets to night which is around 6 to 7 in my area, so I have time to shower before then. First, of course, I wash my face-- double cleanse specifically. I use the Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Oil Cleanser, I still use it mainly to get the oils or pollution off my face as well as to wash off my sunscreen since I don't use makeup often. The oil cleanser itself is not bad, pretty average I must say, but if you don't like scented products-- especially spices, I don't recommend it.
I emulsify them and rinse them off before washing my face with a gentle cleanser, I use the Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture Soft 5.5 Cleansing Gel for my last cleanser, it's very soft and unscented! This is good if you have sensitive skin, and like I had mentioned in a post I uploaded not long ago, it's very recommended for dry skin because when I tell you it's soft, it's SOFT, to the point where I had to scrub it off my face to rinse fully.
After washing my face, I gently pat my face damp with a tissue, I don't like it fully dry because it'll take time for me to get used to the temperature of the water again (as silly as that sounds, it's very important to me lmao).
I prefer using cold water instead of hot or warm water for no specific reason, but I don't like to deal with the cold air after getting used to the warm so I raw dog it both morning and night ( •̀ ω •́ )✧. I like to double wash so I go in with a soap bar (Shinzui, they smell very good!) before going in with a mild cleanser to not fully irritate my skin, but I'm currently looking for a good scrub/exfoliator to lather my body products in, so if anyone knows any scrub that isn't too harsh but still effective, lmk!
Once I get dressed in sleepwear, I immediately start my skincare before touching my hands with anything else, my skincare is simple since I don't want to overwhelm my skin with layers when it doesn't need it and protect my skin barrier overall, I use the Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Toner and Isntree Hyaluronic Moist Cream since they're very lightweight yet still refreshing, I sometimes use an salicylic acid gel for my active acne and scars which is a life changer...
Once I had already taken a shower, I don't want to do anything too exhausting after that, so I take the time before dinner to journal, have tea with my mother, work on my blog (now that I have something to work on without having too much stress), scroll on my phone, check all of my to-do lists but mainly just enjoy the time! Usually, my parents also finish work by this time so I spend most of my time with them.
I always have dairy/calcium before bed, as much as I hate how milk prevents my skin from clearing, I still do it regularly for my growth and bone strength (TMI: I used to get bruises easily on my legs so I was forced to consume milk every day even though I hate it ( ˘︹˘ )). I usually talk to my friends or check my socials during that time, And after praying and brushing my teeth, I go straight to bed right after I stretch to loosen up my body and my lights turn off. I'm an early bird most of the time so I get pissed off if I overslept until the sun's up or around 5:30 LOL, I do like to stay up until I actually grow tired, but I'm very determined to get my 8 hours of beauty sleep so I only stay up when I actually want to stay up.
Night routines are probably my favorite parts of the day because I just love the premises of getting unready and unwinding, the sun isn't glaring at you, and the time isn't ticking on you, it's a quiet time for me cause you aren't in a rush for anything and who doesn't love that? I indeed loved making this so stay tuned for more posts like this!
