✨️Random Gem Thought✨️
Gem is like the most nuanced character in this entire series but i dont think SHE knows that. I think that she thinks that she's 100% flat and surface level and expects everyone to treat her as such. So when they don't, she gets very confused.
Anyway a second thought i JUST had
This definetly happens the most with Lizzie and leads to Gem thinking that Lizzie is overestimating her and treating her as too much of a person (internalized dehumanization Gem my beloved) but it also kind of leads to Gem feeling safer around her because... she likes being treated as something more than surface level, even though she thinks its a lie.
