I’m going to go to my grave believing the best TV scene of all time is not, in fact, from The Wire, Breaking Bad or The Sopranos. It’s when the defense lawyer on Murder, She Wrote pointed out to Jessica Fletcher: “Well, why DOES everyone die wherever you go?”
Then the jury and judge look at her strangely. This nice little old lady could be a serial killer.
The show acknowledged: “Um, it is weird how all this shit keeps happening to her?”
It raises questions.
