Desperate kiss
đť Romantic drabble
đť Gilbert Nightray (PANDORA HEARTS)
Even if he may not look like it, he is someone who worries and a lot, between having to look after Oz, Alice and you he is constantly over the edge and close to snap out of stress and anxiety, and yet he wouldn't really change his situation over anything, he rather be anxious all the time than losing any of you
Even so, he gets rather emotional when any of you are in danger, he tries to stay calm whenever you have work to do without him but still always makes sure to ask you to be careful and return safe and sound to his side, so when he heard that you had some unexpected troubles that made your mission more dificult than expected Gilbert was unable to not worry neither to don't drop everything to run to your side the moment he knew where you were, and he felt even worst when he found you injured. Overall, it weren't bad injuries and you were still able to stand still in you own but that didn't stopped him to run to your side and hug you as tight as he could, forgetting for a moment about everything around just to make sure you were alright, clinging to you and despite being able to breath now that he has you in his arms he was unable to stop himself to pamper your face with kisses, desperate kisses that were both reasuring for him and a way to greet you, to thank you for coming back home
The warmth remaining

Darling wish they hadn't met
đť Romantic headcanons
đť Gilbert Nightray, Vincent Nightray (PANDORA HEARTS)
Gil Nightray
It didn't took much from him to realice how special you are, to notice how wonderful you are neither to fall in love and swear devotion to you. Gil have found you while Oz was trapped in the abyss and you were like the light that came to ilumitate his world, something to cling on this side to keep his sanity in place and even after Oz finally came back Gil was unable to stop loving you, to keep clinging onto you and to depend on you the way he was doing it
From the moment he has met you Gil have done everything in his power to keep you at his side, where he can watch over you, where he can make sure you are safe and sound. Convincing Oz to help him keep you at his side was way easier to convince Pandora and yet he managed to gain both support, there was no way he would let you go out of his grasp and with that help there was no way you could even try to go away without being noticed and stopped
Gilbert swears in his life that he wants nothing more than his darling's safety and happiness, he will do everything in his power and be willing to give his own self to assure that, he will bring that happiness and safety to his darling with his own hands, thats what he have promised to himself and to his darling
However, his darling didn't thought the same, to achive what he have promised Gil have become controlling and possesive, he needs to know where is and what is his darling doing at all times, it is too rare the moment when he is not at your side and when that happens you are still watched over someone Gil trust enough, he has took your life in his hands and make whatever he wants with it, your freedom no longer truly exist as now your life is limited by Gil's love and paranoia
There is pretty much nothing else more painful for Gil to heard than how his darling wishes both have never met, that his darling regrets even meeting him when his darling means the world for him is breaking down his world. Gil is devoted, he is dependant and loves with fierce passion, he swears that he wants nothing but his darling's happiness but the truth is that he is possesive, he doesn't want his darling to be happy with someone else, to be somewhere he can't reach and yet he doesn't see anything bad on his way of thinking so he doesn't understand why his darling despises him so much
His darling's rejection and hate will do nothing good for him, it break Gil into pieces and makes him have full crisis, this cannot be, even if he doesn't want to admit it he wants the love of his darling, he needs it, he can't live without his darling's love and he will pester his darling until he is able to make it up for whatever he have done to gain this hate and change it for love
Vincent Nightray
As a child of misfortune he is bound to bring only bad things to the people around him, his only existance is a bad omen itself, he is painfully aware of if and he is painfully aware that his only existance will only disturb her darling's life but despite all of that he can't help himself, his feelings are big, stronge, the love he holds for his darling is a burning bothersome that makes him feel like dying, like if ever fiber of his being were being rip apart if he doesn't sees his darling
Vincent is controlling and possesive, he loves his darling more than he loves even his brother, its irrational and inexplicable but he doesn't care, he already has his hands dirty so he won't back off now, he will have his darling one way or another
Vincent sees his own life as disposable, his biggest wish is to vanish his own existance so while that happen he doesn't mind at all doing whatever it takes to have his darling safe and sound at his side, he is going to go to any extreme necesary so it isn't really a surprise that he have made his darling suffer in the process, it wasn't his ideal neither his wish but if it was necesary then he would do it
Vincent hates himself with burning passion, he wishes to be hated as he believes he must be hated, and yet despite that when his darling admited that wished that you two have never met, how much you even regret the day you two have exchange the first words it is a really hard hit to take for Vincent. From one side he expected it to happen, in his mind it was the posibility more likely to happen and it would only give him more reasons to vanish, but in the other side is killing him in the most painful way
Vincent loves his darling, he loves you so much that it hurts, it is painful the way he needs his darling, it is so much to take to the point that part of him hates his darling, but deep down what he wishes the most is his darling's love, its your acceptance and forgiveness, but if you regret even the day you two have met he knows then that this silly wish is something he will never be able to have, not that he even have the right to try to achive it now after what he have done
He will continue like how he have been up until now, trying to be kinder even without noticing and just hoping that one day, perhaps when he is no longer here, you may find it in yourself to forgive him and be happy

I wake up to the soft sound of chirping and the faint flow of water over smooth rocks. I peak out my tent and donât see anyone else up.
I grab my cup-like container and head to the river like I did yesterday. Scooping up some water, I head back, closing the tent curtains behind me and start my routine. Only after changing does it dawn on me,
Itâs the last day of camping. First thing in the morning tomorrow weâre going back home. This trip hasnât been anything special⌠I want to do something interesting that doesnât involve me looking for my lost friend in the woods while practically starving, all sweaty and annoyed.
As I exit my tent I see majority of the class awake and ready for the day, some just waking up. Amongst them is Gilbert, heâs rubbing his eyes as I approach him. âGoodmorning.â I smile. âMm.â He hums a âsame to youâ and he opens his eyes to look at me and smiles, âHopefully we can actually camp today.â âAgreed.â I nod.
During breakfast I sit with my friends and Gil sits with his. Weâre all in our own conversations when Josie addresses the whole group.
âSo, I have an announcement..â
Everyone turns to hear,
She pauses,
âMe and Billy are together!â Josie squeals, it was high pitched but not loud enough for anyone outside of our small circle to hear.
âYou mean he asked to court you?!â Ruby smiles, reaching out to squeeze Josieâs hand.
âWait, how would he have asked your parents? Weâre camping..â A gasp of realization comes out of Dianaâs mouth after her question and Anne finishes the thought for her, âIs it..â she leans in, so do the rest of us, âA secret!?â
Tilly, Ruby, and Anne all squeal together, âHow romantic!â Tilly smiles.
âWell, not exactly,â Josie interrupts.Â
âThere it is.â
âWhen he found me in the tree and saved me,â
âHE?! I recall ME finding AND saving you-â
âHe caught me and we had our- MOMENT!â
âEEEEEEEEEE!â Everyone shreeks simultaneously.
âDid she even say thank you after I saved her? Billy was too busy fighting to hear her screaming and practically wanted to leave her for dead and not tell anyone!â
âDid he compliment you?â Diana smiles.
âDid you kiss?â Anne says in that voice she takes on when talking about something she finds âromanticalâ.
âDid he show you his muscles?â Tilly giggles.
âDid he hold you like you were the only thing that mattered in the whole entire universe and even if there were other things in existence he would continue to only ever look at you with that- that look of eternal, undying love?â Everyoneâs heads turned to Ruby. âWhat? If he doesnât look at you like that, what's the point!â The group laughs, except Josie.
âWell.. He held onto me a bit longer than he needed to.. AND, we were looking into eachothers eyes the whole time.â
âAwesâ and âOoosâ were heard until,
âHey ladies,â
This obnoxiously snobby, overly confident voice settles in.
âWhat is it George?â I ask with a slight tone. He may be known for his overly-flirtatious and cocky demeanour but he was a decent guy and would stop flirting if you were being courted.
That fact doesnât make him any less annoying though.
âMe and some of the boys are planning to stay up late for the last night camping. But whatâs a party without girls?~â George wiggles his eyebrows and I mentally puke.
âWhoâs going to be there?â Ruby questions. Sheâs hiding it, but sheâs obviously hoping for a specific name.
âEveryone, so far.â He shrugs.
The girls and I look around at one another and make faces as if having a mental discussion, most of us sway our heads side to side or shrug but after a minute or so George interrupts and asks, âDid I lose my hearing or something? Is it a yes or a no?â
Impatient much..
âWeâll go.â I reply.
âAll of you?â George grins.
I nod.
âSee you ladies then.â He winks and walks off.
âSo, what is everyone going to wear?â Diana pipes up.
âWhat do you mean?â Anne asks.
âYeah, whatâs wrong with what we have on now?â Tillie continues.
âWell, when invited to a party you wear something different then what you were wearing earlier right?â Diana elaborates.
âBut itâs just with some stupid boys, weâre not representing a part of our families or anything, itâs not an event.â I shrug.
âPlus, I didnât bring an extra outfit.â Anne adds, somewhat worriedly.
âYou can borrow one of mine, Anne. Iâve got three extra.â Diana smiles.
Our breakfast conversation comes to an end and I head off to find Gilbert.
He had just walked out of his tent, âGoodmorning!â I call. He turns and smiles once he sees me.
âGoodmorning love,â He looks me up and down, âYou look, uhâin.. infatuating.. today.â Gilbert seemed to question if that was the right word to use.
âThank you.â I hold back a laugh. âAre you, going to the party tonight?â
âAre you? I only said yes hoping you would go..â
âYes, yes Iâm going.â
âThatâs- thatâs great! I have some g-â
âHey! Blythe!â
Aaaaaaand there it is.
George interrupts the conversation, waving down Gil.
âHey, Blythe!â
Gilbert ignores him and attempts to continue to talk, however George persists, beginning to walk over.
âBlytheeee! Gilbert!â
George hooks his arm over Gilâs shoulder, dragging him away while talking.
âMight as while occupy myself until the party.â
Timeskip cause Iâm lazy rn and will add to this tmr
Soon the night rose as the day set and I made my way to the party. The fire crackled and popped, its warmth mingling with the cool night air. The woods were just as awake as in the morning, the hum of insects and the occasional rustling of leaves. As I entered a clearing a louder sound arose, laughter. Everyone was gathered around the fireâthose who were still sober enough to keep our eyes open, anyway. Iâd just gotten here and peopleâBilly more so were drunk.
I approached the girls who were sitting on logs. Anne was standing mid-story, her hands wild in the air as she recounted some outlandish tale about a misadventure with a runaway horse. Iâd heard it before of course, but Anne had a way of telling stories that made them feel new each time. Tilly was next to Ruby, their heads bent together as they whispered, probably sharing gossip or talking about crushes.
Ruby shot a glance at Moody, who was standing a little ways off. Probably feeling her eyes he looked over and smiled, until Charlie hooked an arm around his shoulder. I shifted on the log, distracted by a shout of laughter from George as he regaled Moody and Charlie with another one of his girl encounter stories.
Josie and Diana, who were across from me, were listening to Anne with rapt attentionâthough Josieâs eyes kept darting toward Billy, who was standing off to the side of the fire, looking... well, less than amused. Josie had been so sure she and Billy had somethingâafter all, he kind of leads her on and Josie ignores anything negative he says or does.
I found myself looking over at Gilbert, and the flutter in my chest gave away how easily I was already pulled in. He was leaning against a nearby tree, watching the group with that calm, easy smile he always wore. We hadnât been together for long, but in moments like these, when Iâd catch him looking at me like thatâlike I was the only one in the worldâeverything else seemed to fade into the background. A/N - Referencing a previous part̤̎
I didnât even have to glance twice to know he was looking at me, too.
âYou alright?â Gilbertâs voice broke through my thoughts, smooth as he shuffled to sit beside me, his hand brushing against my arm.
âHad he walked over while I was just staring?â
There was something in the way he said itâlike he already knew what I was thinking.
âJust, people-watching,â I said, keeping my voice light. âAnneâs storyâs getting to the good part, I think.â
Gilbert laughed quietly,
âHeâs not buying it.â
âHmm, sure. I was watching people too, though. And this partyâs pretty boring..â He let his words linger in the air, his eyes catching mine. âI know you just came, but do you want to go back to camp? We could just sit and talk.â
I nodded with a smile.
I glanced over at Billyâhis gaze immediately snapping away, as if heâd been caught staring, but I didnât need to look twice to know heâd been watching. Josie, sitting beside him, was completely oblivious to the shift in energy, still caught up in the idea that Billy might have more feelings for her than heâs ever had.
âWhereâs Tilly and Charlie off to?â I asked, noting that the two of them had disappeared into the trees.
Gilbert smirked. âWho knows? Theyâre probably off looking for a quiet place of their own.â He shrugged. âIf theyâre smart, they wonât stay out too late. No telling what the camp will turn into once the whiskeyâs had its way with the rest of them.â
âGilbert,â I said quietly, my voice a little softer than usual, âyou really donât mind if we leave early, do you?â
His hand brushed against mine. âIâd prefer it.â His voice dropped to a whisper. âWe can make our own fun tonight.â
I didnât need to hear any more. I stood up, straightening my skirts, and turned toward Gilbert, my heart suddenly lighter.
As we got back to camp we walked to Gilbertâs tent which was only a couple meters away from Charlieâsâof which had two shadows inside, accompanied by whispers and giggles coming from it.
âGil.â I beckon, nodding over to the tent with a smile. As he looks over I head inside his tent.
Gilbert closes it behind him and for a moment we just sit in comfortable silence.
-
âSo, do you think theyâll notice weâre gone?â Gil lookâs up from the floor to answer, âProbably not. What do you thinkâs up with Moody and Ruby?â
âOh, they are soooo close to courting, Ruby is finally out of her denial stage so Moody just has to make a move again!â I smile, shifting closer as I speak.
And though we ranted about thatâour conversation switched to many different topics. Some important, some not.
-
âI bet I could beat you in cards if we had some right now.â I smirk as Gilbertâs brows furrow, âNo way! Iâd so beat you.â
âYou wish, Rock Paper Scissors right now!â
âRock, Paper, ScissorsâŚShoot!â
âRock, Paper, ScissorsâŚShoot!â
âTold you Iâd beat you in cardsâ I raise my hands in victory.
âOne more time!âÂ
âYou mean two? For someone to win weâd have to-â
âNo, just one.â
âOk..?â
âRock, Paper, ScissorsâŚâ
âRock, Paper, ScissorsâŚâ
Smooch?
-
Now laying with his head on my lap, my hand in his and the other in his hair Gilbert sighs contently,
âI donât think Iâll figure you out completely. Understand you? Yes.â
âWhat do you mean?â I laugh.
âYouâll know, eventually.â
âBut I want to know now.. Oh, just tell me!â
âNo,â He laughs out.
-
Eventually I headed back to my tent. In the morning to follow everyone had packed, eaten, and left with the same carriage buddies weâd arrived with.
The views werenât as great as the ones Iâve seen camping with my fatherâthe memories are definitely ones Iâll be keeping forever.

My blanket is so soft and warm.. whats that light?
My eyebrows furrow and my face scrunches as I regrettedly open my eyes. It's morning. I don't really want to get up, but as I look around the room I spot my chalender, its November 18th, not a special day really, but me and Gilbert planned on going to Charolettetown for lunch and walk around the rest of the day.
I sit up and swing my legs to the edge of my bed, the tips of my toes touching the cold floor and curling at the shock. With a big sigh, I stand up and head downstairs. No ones home.. Weren't they visiting Diana's family later today? I head to the living room and check the mini clock.
"10:20!?" Slept in a bit there.. Oops.
I head to the kitchen and start making eggs and toast but they were taking to long to cook so I decided to choose an outfit. By the time I did my food was ready to flip and I headed back upstairs to start a bath. It'd have to be a quick one.
I ate, bathed, brushed my teeth, washed my face, styled my hair, and just as I put my outfit on there was a knock at the door. Oh no. I'm not done..
I quickly choose jewlery and any other accessories I want, spray on my perfume/cologne and rush to the door.
"Hello?" There wasn't really a question as to who was at the door but I said it like that nonetheless.
"Sorry for running late, I know we said we'd go at ten (10:00) to be there at eleven thirty (11:30) the latest.." Gilbert fixed his shirt and coat, he was nervous with the apology. I couldn't be mad, I was behind too.
"What time is it now?" I ask,
Checking his wrist watch Gil replies, "Eleven fourty..? (11:40)" he says sheepishly.
"Lets go then, before we're even more behind," I say, putting on my shoes and closing the door behind me as I begin walking.
The ride to the train station was calm, we talked about what most people would call nonesense as per usual. Me and Gilbert get on the train, and again, talk about nonesense the whole ride to Charolettetown.
"Where do you want to eat?" Gill asks as he helps me off the train.
"I could go for something warm.. Potato-ham casserole?"
"And some stew?" He adds.
I nod in delight and we make our way to 'Dine & Dish.'
The food was filling and as we make our way out of the we begin to pass the shops.
âDo you need anything from the shop, darling?â Gilbert asks, his voice warm against the cold air. His hand brushed against mine, a small but affectionate gesture.
âI was thinking of getting a new ribbon for my hair,â I reply. âPerhaps a blue one?â I smile at the idea.
Gilbert smiled as well, though I noticed a flicker of something in his eyes. âBlue suits you,â he said, but there was a slight tightness to his words. I couldnât place it, but I didnât give it much thought as we reached the general store.
The doorbell clinged as we entered, and I greeted Mrs.Maron, the shopkeeper, who was busy stacking jars of preserves.
"Good afternoon miss!" I smile as I take in the sent of smelled of cinnamon and dried herbs.
Gilbert wandered off to the hats, and I found myself near the ribbon stand, scanning the assortment of colors.
I noticed a boy, perhaps a few years older than me, so a 'young man' would be the proper phrasing.
I internally roll my eyes at the grammar my mother instilled in me.
He was standing just a few feet away, his back to me as he sifted through some rolls of fabric. I mustâve been staring because he turned and flashed me a smile.
âMiss, I couldnât help but notice how lovely you look today,â he said, his voice smooth, with just the hint of flirtation.
I smile, âThank you, sir. Youâre very kind,â and turn back to the ribbons.
He didnât stop there, though. âYouâre far too modest. A woman like you should be wearing something far finer than those humble ribbons.â His gaze swept over me, a little LOT too slowly.
Before I could muster a reply, I noticed Gilbert from across the room. He was looking at me, but there was something different in his expression now. His brows were furrowed, his lips had set in a thin line. I could see the tension in his posture.
The 'young man' mustâve noticed too, because he looked past me and locked eyes with Gilbert. His smile faltered just for a moment, but then he straightened up, as if challenging Gilbert silently. I swear felt feel the air shift.
Great.
Gil makes his way towards me and the boy. âIâm sorry, I didnât mean to intrude,â the stranger began said, though the words felt far from sincere. âI was merely admiring the fine taste of your companion here.â
'Didn't you say I shouldn't buy these ribbons?'
There was no mistaking the sudden coldness in Gilbertâs eyes, nor the sharpness in his tone as he stepped infront of me.
âIâm certain my companion doesnât need your admiration, sir.â Gilberts tone and voice was.. Well you know.. (Ëśâ˘Ě ,<Ëś)
The young man held up his hands in mock surrender, a grin still playing at the corners of his lips. âOf course, I meant no offense.â He gave a half-bow, then turned back to the fabric stand, clearly not interested in furthering the conversation.
Gilbert didnât immediately speak, but I could feel his presence beside me, like a thundercloud looming just overhead. I tried to offer him a reassuring smile, but he didnât return it. His jaw was tight, his eyes dark with something I couldnât quite placeâwas it anger? Or something else?
âGilbert,â I said softly, reaching for his hand, trying to defuse the tension. âItâs ok. He was just being, friendly.â Even I don't belive what I'm saying.
He didnât look at me right away, but his fingers curled around mine, a little too tightly. âFriendly?â His voice was rough, the word coming out like it didnât quite fit in his mouth.
Uh oh.
âHe was trying to flirt with you. And you... you let him.â
I felt a pang of guilt, though I hadnât done anything wrong. âI didnât mean to encourage him,â I said quickly. âI didnâtââ
âI know you didnât,â Gilbert sighed, his voice softening just a little. He finally turns to face me fully, his eyes searching mine. âI just... I donât like the thought of anyone else thinking they have the right to speak to you like that.â
Jealousy. That's what it was.
âYou know I only have eyes for you.â I look up at him, grabbing both of his hands.
For a long moment, he just stared at me.
âI know,â he whispered. âI know.â And with that, a smile creeps up on my face, his growing soon after.
The rest of our time in the shop was quieter. We didnât speak of the boy again, but I noticed Gilbertâs hand stayed close to mine, a subtle but constant reminder of how deeply he cared. He didnât want to share me with anyone else, and in that moment, I couldn't help but smile at his slight jealousy.
When we left the store, there were slightly less people out.
Gilbert took my hand again, his touch more gentle this time.
âI think Iâve had enough of town for today,â he said, his voice soft but decisive. âLetâs go to my house, love. I'll bake you something, yeah?â
He ended up burning the cookies and I tought him how to make cupcakes instead. Cooking is more his thing anyway.
