🎃 Trick or treat! 👻
I'll give you a small treat! <3🎃
A small excerpt of a short story thing happening after Keep Me Breathing
He knew he acted like a lovestruck teenager. Sneaking around at work, catching glimpses of the girl who showed up twice a week.
How could he not, though? Her hair was the smoothest thing he'd ever seen. Her voice made his whole body feel warm. Her chunky boots was a cute contrast to her small frame and he could stare into those eyes until the end of time. Especially now when she'd finally taken out those stupid lenses for good.
He couldn't help but laugh. It's been about 6 months and he still couldn't comprehend her existence.
She's awkward, judgmental and straight up annoying sometimes, but also kind, smart and strong.
How could such a beautiful creature exist in the same world as him? The craziest thing was that she'd brought him with her and given him a place to call home.
No, sneaking around to listen to your girlfriend was the kind of thing a teenager should do, not a man in his thirties with a cigarette addiction. It would probably be better if he went outside for a smoke instead. Otherwise he'd never be able to get back to work and the day had just barely started.
He pushed himself from the wall and peeked through the slightly open door. Yep, she was still as beautiful as ever. Few things looked better in her hands than a book. He looked down on his own, glove covered, hand before he closed the door and headed towards the stairs.
Since she was new to this whole romance thing, and he didn't really had a place in society yet, they'd agreed on not talking about their relationship in public until they've figured everything out. She hadn't told him directly but he knew that she was scared that people would just see him as her boyfriend and not his own person. He wouldn't mind that, but he also loved that caring side of her.
As of now, only her family, Sakura's parents, the rest of the big four and the ones involved in the rescue knew about it. He couldn't deny that it was kind of exiting to love someone in secret, but seeing her in public always made him restless and he couldn't help but wanting to tell the whole world how lucky he was.
