Compared with other primates or even apes, gibbon natural behaviour is more similar to human due to their : 1) Vocalisation 2) Locomotion 3) Socialization Do you know that gibbon, shows some similar behaviour with human when talking about loves? Yes, they are because Gibbon is the only monogamous primates in the world. They are loyal to their partner, or so called mate for life. They copulate and reproduce only with their mate. If they got an offspring, they take care of the offspring together just like a human parent take care of their children. The reason why poachers have to kill the parents or other family members before they can get the baby or juvenile is because just like humans, gibbon are willing to die for their family. Gibbon may just an animal for some people. But like human, they do have feelings. Don't ruin their love story with sad ending and bloodshed. Happy Valentine's Day everyone. This is a #repost from @grp_phuket via @PhotoAroundApp Follow up studies are necessary to evaluate the success of rehabilitation and to study the behavior of previously captive gibbons in the wild. Observation should include the behaviors of grooming, dueting, group change, general appearance, vigor, movements (ability to move through the trees), and natural food eaten. It is important to monitor the range as well as the height reached in the canopy and tree that the gibbons are foraging. As the gibbons begin to learn their new food source, the supplementary feeding may be reduced and eventually terminated. This allows a gradual transition to a natural diet.
