any tips for people who want to start making edits? love your work!!
ummmm ok! I'd say my main tip for making edits is to really think about form. If you don't know about this, it's basically the understanding of how an object takes up a 3-dimensional space. It's a lot easier to make a successful edit if you're thinking about the character as a form, rather than just kinda...drawing over stuff and slapping details on top of a picture. Think about what the figure/body is doing in areas where it's covered up.
for pesterquest edits specifically, it is so much easier (for me) to sketch out my edits on top of the sprite and then re-line the entire piece, rather than trying to erase certain things and redraw them. I'm not sure how most people do these, but this is what has proven to be the best option for me!
my final tip is one that you might not want to hear, but I owe my ability to make edits to just having knowledge of art, haha. So, make sure you are practicing your art fundamentals, even if you're just doing edits, it'll help you exponentially!
also, thank you so much! it means a lot to me that someone wants to hear my knowledge hehe :3c if you have any specific questions, let me know!! :O
