Ghost of Gotham storms - Part 7 (finale)
(Part 1) (Part 2) (Part 3) (Part 4) (Part 5) (Part 6)
Mystical vision on the rooftop
By the time the manor had endured Damianâs curses, Timâs theories, Cassandraâs quiet revelations, Dickâs haunted nostalgia, and Jasonâs unnerving âbook miracle,â Halloween was upon them, darker, rainier, and stormier than ever.
On one strange, calm morning, after returning from patrol with everyone already asleep, it came to Bruce like a premonition: gifts left with intent, personal details no intruder should know, each Robin confronted without fear. Too precise to be random. Too intimate to be hostile.
So he went to the manorâs roof. Alone.
Batman: âEnough games.â
That âcold windâ the kids had been feeling ever since Cassandra mentioned it, and Jason confirmed it. That subtle âbreezeâ at the back of the neck. A shadow detached itself from the night behind himâtaller, broader, cloaked not in darkness but in calm.
Superman: âMissed you.â
Bruceâs jaw clenched.
Batman: âYouâve been following my family. Interfering in my city.â Superman (smiling): âChecking in. Leaving presents. Trying to make an impression.â
Bruceâs silence was heavier than any storm. Clark stepped closer, almost shy.
Superman: âYou once said I had to be creative. Show I was interested, prove I wasnât a violent threat⊠but also that they couldnât beat me.â Batman: âDid I sayâ?â Superman: âIn that Cat Grant interview.â Batman: âThatâsâ!â Superman (cutting him off): âAnd donât tell me that was Brucie talking. I know your kids protect him more than they do Bruce or Batman. If Iâm going to win them over, it has to be for real.â
For once, Batman didnât have a response ready. Clark shifted his weight, uneasy.
Superman: âDid I screw up? I thought itâd be kind of funny when they found out⊠that theyâd respect me, andââ
His words trailed off.
Batman: âYouâre Superman. If anyone doesnât need to earn their respect as an enemy, itâs you.â
Silence stretched again.
Superman: âTheyâre going to hate me, arenât they?â
Bruce finally processed it all. His shoulders slumped, his body eased.
Batman (softly): âTheyâre going to love you.â Superman: âYou donât look happy.â
Bruce turned, exhausted after a long night and months of uncertainty.
Batman: âTheyâll blame me for every fight we have.â
Behind him, Clarkâs laugh broke the tension as he landed lightly on the bedroom balcony.
Superman (grinning, floating closer): âWait! Does that mean we can start dating publicly?â Batman (without looking back): âStay for breakfast. If thatâs public enough for you.â
A moment later, the ghost stirred up another cold breezeâbut Bruce didnât notice, wrapped in Clarkâs arms.
In the end, it wasnât a ghost or a curse. It was something far more dangerous.
A man in love.

âDanny Phantom: Batfam Protocolâ
(DP x DC â Humor / Suspense / Crossover Chaos)
It began on a completely ordinary Gotham night. Which, in Wayne terms, meant something was about to go terribly wrong.
Tim Drake was recalibrating the Batcomputer. Damian was glaring at Jason like heâd personally offended the art of swordsmanship. Cass was⊠winning at literally everything.
Then the Batcave shuddered. Lights flickered. Smoke curled from the consoles. And a green, glowing portal opened in the center of the cave.
A boy â white-haired, hoodie flapping like a cape â phased out.
âFinally! I found you guys!â
Bruceâs brow furrowed. âExcuse me⊠who are you?â Dannyâs grin widened. âThe nameâs Danny Fenton. But you can call me⊠your familyâs newest chaos manager.â
Jason raised an eyebrow. âChaos manager? Really?â Danny winked. âYes. I specialize in ghost-related emergencies, interdimensional threats, and accidental haunting of billionaires.â
The lights flickered again, and suddenly, every gadget in the Batcave started moving on its own.
âUh⊠Danny?â Tim asked nervously. âRelax,â Danny said. âThey listen to me.â
Cass tilted her head. âThey are listening to you?â
âMostly,â Danny admitted. âBut also⊠someoneâs coming. Something big. Something mechanical. And itâs hungry.â
Before anyone could react, dozens of small floating drones appeared â their eyes glowing red. They started to circle the Batfam.
âOkay, thatâs enough introductions,â Bruce said, already scanning. âEveryone, positions.â
The Batfam split up, as per usual. Damian slashed. Jason shot. Cass flipped, dodging lasers. Tim hacked the drones mid-flight.
Danny hovered above, glowing green, ghost energy flaring.
âStep back! Iâve got the big one.â
From the shadows, a massive mechanical spider emerged, its core pulsing with green light â echo energy amplified a thousand times.
âOh no,â Danny muttered. âItâs a Harvest Drone⊠and itâs got my signature all over it.â
The Batfam fought. Chaos everywhere. Sparks. Frost. Screams. Danny phased inside the drone, turning its own machinery against it. Explosions rocked the cave, but somehow, by sheer luck â and Dannyâs ghost powers â the day was saved.
When the dust settled, the Batfam stood, exhausted. Danny floated in the center, glowing faintly.
âWell⊠that went better than expected,â he said. âYouâre insane,â Bruce muttered. âAnd Iâm your new favorite ghost,â Danny replied, grinning.
Then the Batcomputer beeped. A new alert. A green blip on the map.
âUh⊠guys,â Tim said. âThereâs another one.â
