I just had a battle with a guardian in the Goron hot Springs, where I kept swimming, and the water kept healing me when it attacked until I got away
I remember asking you about ghost tagging you a while back. And I. Think I just did it to someone by accident 😅. Tagged them in a drafted post, then changed my mind and deleted it before posting. THEY STILL GOT TAGGED AND REPLIED and omg I am so embarrassed now, is that how you initially discovered it?
Yessss that's exactly what happened.
So in a post one time I tagged. a lot of people idk how many. I removed the tags from drafts tho, as I decided I no longer wanted to tag them, and then I posted it, and tumblr tagged them anyways! There was much confusion, I felt really embarrassed overall and edited the post to try and explain but eeuguhghbshbdidhhdhhghhh
Then, it happened to my friend @adrift-in-thyme as well; Trin was going to tag me but took it out, and when tumblr still notified me, I decided I wanted to replicate this power. Tumblr messed with me, I decided to mess with it back, so I experimented a bit and soon enough learned to make invisible tags! I wasn't sure what to call them at the time, invisible tags or ghost tags- now I'm going with ghost tags bc it sounds cooler, although someone called it shadowtagging the other day and that was cool too.
And don't worry about being embarrassed, I think something everyone can agree on is that tumblr and the internet can be buggy and wierd sometimes.
Uhh yeah! Idk how much sense I'm making rn, as it is night for me, but thanks for sending this! Shared experiences <3
I have a random question! I've seen you use "ghost tagging" a few times now, and am just curious what that means?
Yeah! >:D Ghost tagging is a thingy I found out through me and @adrift-in-thyme having issues with tumblr's glitchy-ness, and I figured out how to replicate it.
I've called it 'invisibly tagging', and recently I remembered that at first I wasn't sure whether to call them invisible or ghost tags, sooo I'm calling them ghost tags rn. Sounds cooler. I'd wondered if anyone would notice the difference 00 you have nice observation skills!
Basically it's where I tag someone in a post, and they get a notif for it like normal, but then the tag doesn't show up in the post. I put who I ghost/invisibly tagged in the tags to keep track kind of, and also clarify that the notif they got was intentional. I'm. haunting their inbox you could say. lol. whatever.
I explained how to make the tags invisible in this post 👻 that I am giving you that link to whether than explaining how it works again
:)
