I do kind of wonder if Naru meant what he said about dissecting Gene, or if he was trying to get these fools out, or if there's a bit of both intentions there. He's a dedicated researcher, I can definitely see him including his brother in that, but he's also smart enough to not want his conversation interrupted and DEFINITELY knows how to unnerved his friends staff. I think if any of the crew died in front of his eyes, especially this far into their relationship, he would be upset. I think especially if Mai died in front of him, or seemed to, it would be very interesting considering the amount of times he's gone out of his way to save her ass.
Gotta admit, one of my favorite parts of Ghost Hunt and Akumu no Sumu le is just. Mai dropped the fact that she's an orphan. And the majority of people around her scrambling to apologize and she just doesn't care. It is what it is. I think it would be hilarious if she pulled the orphan card to get out of trouble.
