17. Does your system have a headspace? Are there multiple of them? What are they like?

We do! We really enjoy talking about our headspace generally.

Our innerworld is the "The Dragon" and we generally think of it as a dragon shaped planet that is largely jungle but has a variety of different biomes for different subsystems and such (mountains, swamp, sea) split between a northern hemisphere (the Upperworld) and a lower one (the Underworld). Because we have roughly ten-ish subsystem we know at this point, we'll just focus on ours (Onion and Ghastley) - The Garden House!

The Garden House is a giant greenhouse behind Chrellys's Haunted Castle located in MONARCH's garden in the Underworld (it's a very normal garden for a haunted castle though). Inside, we live in a couple different areas, all semi-suited for the fact that we are largely small animals.

Greenbourough is an idyllic neighborhood of what might look like "fairy houses" or really small hobbit holes, so small cottages composed of natural materials (this is most of the subsystem with residents include Morris (slug), Maury (wombat), and Luce (mouse), etc). Then Staverwarsh is a wheat/sunflower field with a creek going through it that stretches out in the middle (only known resident to date is Ghastley (vole)). And then the Scrapyard, which is a large junkyard where those of us that have Been Through Things live. This is where Jack (possum), Maurnie (raccoon), and I (Onion (mouse)) come from. We live in trashcans and broken up cars and old refrigerators. It took work, but we've made ourselves really cozy homes.

Yes! We have sensory issues very generally and things we have to do to accommodate health stuff, but even within that we have preferences and sensory stuff amongst the clothes we wear and stuff we eat mostly.

Speaking for myself (Onion here), my boyfriend (Jack) and I have some of the biggest taste differences in system which makes things complicated when we really like fronting together. Jack is a big chocolate and meat person (which he attributes to his possum-hood), but I much prefer fruit and nutty flavors with meat often making me quite nauseous (it makes me a little uncomfortable as a mouse to be honest). So it's something we really have to think about. Our ice cream combos tend to be really funny to people in the outerworld.

We also have things we only wear with some headmates. Example, we got some fairly cheap scarves/tapestries to wear as a cape or substitution for wings that a lot of the moth people from the Smallest Kingdom have. However, the rest of us kind of find them a bit scratchy and uncomfortable. Kaisley has an exercise shirt of sorts that pretty much only she and Ryan wear (sibling things we guess).
