#MondayMotivation #HealthIsWealth #Breakfast Sliced oranges, Dandelion,red onion and tomato omelet, Toasted brown bread(wheat), Freshly Juiced Watermelon and Cucumber juice, Ginger Pear tea (a taste of my other home NYC's Trader Joe's) - After this box of tea is gone will see if I can get an even better tea from fresh pear and ginger🤔 Reality check was when my cousin asked what I was having for breakfast and he informed me that he was going to have waayke(Ghana's national dish of rice and beans). I said it's better to eat a breakfast of fruits and he informed me that it is not that he and others do not like fruits, but rather that even in a tropical nation with an abundance of fruit like Ghana, having a meal abundant in fruit is more expensive for the average Ghanaian than a carbohydrate filled meal like Waayke or Kenkey that can fill one up for a longer period than fruit. Sadly all around the world eating healthy with well balanced meals is always more costly. It baffles me though that many in Ghana have fruit trees, which they cut down or just let the fruit rot while it's such an expensive commodity. For the ambitious youth going around to neighbors with fruit trees and picking the fruit to sell at discounted prices - their entrepreneurial ambitions has earned them their daily bread. The Agricultural sector is by far the fasted growing and most promising business in Africa- in terms of local and global trade - if we as a continent get serious about it. All around the world food is getting more scarce and more expensive, while eating organic is in higher demand globally- which for the lack of so called "development" - most of Africa has been able to maintain its farming organically. We as nations and a continent need to look beyond our oil, gold, diamond and mineral reserves because eventually they will run out, while destroying our lands for use of our own sustenance.
