I prefer the 2005 Tamil original Ghajini over the Hindi remake in 2008, which also starred Asin; with all respects to Amir Khan who was great in the remake. The film depends a great deal on the innocence of Asin's character and the tragic event that transpires. In 2005, Asin was able to portray that innocence more effectively than in 2008.
