lol I was expecting prop hunt to be not very fun to watch but kudos to soup with the tangible restrictions he gave and making sure there were no easy giveaways for j1mmy and having a neutral seeker he made it about as balanced and strategic as it can be

I will say it's a LITTLE lame of b0aty to completely throw the 2nd round. it's a little funny, but imo not the funniest he could do, something SLIGHTLY more subtle but still ridiculous could've been funnier but eh... that's it

tbh faux has a point here, like it's fine and dandy to say "victim should be targeted bc he won last time and is really strong" but also with the ability to choose his opponent, he's incredibly likely to be able to beat at least 3 of the 5 people he could pick, so idk why they'd target him AGAIN, and last week's banning was an RNG one that was arguably the biggest chance someone like Victim might have at losing, so unless you really think it's gonna be two RNG-heavy bannings in a row, I think putting him in again isn't a smart move for this group in theory. But also I would enjoy it for the drama. I think the "smart" (STOOL) move here would be putting any of torvesta, c engineer, or hooti in, as they have probably even odds with whoever they pick to go out or come back, but aren't quite as vengeful/scary as victim. but let's see what these guys do...

ooh puzzles? tbh I think this favors settled, I mean I'm not sure if I've ever seen Boaty work on a non-game-knowledge type puzzle so idk if he excels at them but yeah this seems like the kind of thing Settled eats up... oh wait now looking at them and they're similar to past GG challenges, Boaty might have a good shot too. like I said I think it's really a toss up between these two...!

i know i'm not under pressure but "meet me evil dave 2 win" i read that pretty quickly, watching boaty tele edgeville but then think he needs to go get meat is so painful lmaooo no... both these guys being like "lunar diplomacy??? vengenace???" and not realizing it's "ME"!!! you can tell they spend too much time actually playing the game not afking in nightmare zone like the PEOPLE!!!! at least boaty got there soon

it's actually WILD how just going up against boaty scares even the other elite players like solo was QUAKING in that banning against him and now settled, who never really seems nervous, also seems off his game in that first part of this banning. I don't count him out, though, he could still totally come and win it...

that snake plugin is a really interesting choice bc it's partly do you know snake strategy but also tests your runescape pathing knowledge... cuz... i ASSUME (?) it's following RS pathing and not traditional snake pathing. and both these guys have excellent movement and pathing we know but this is a rather different way of applying it so really could be anyone's win...! 3 tries is a nice way to give them a chance to warm up and get used to it...

damn I won't try to pretend I understand osrs movement even 1% as well as boaty but it did seem like he was making risky moves of trying to do as fast as possible/as few clicks as possible when he could've just taken safer pathing and gotten his "tail" out of the way more before claiming the orbs...

That math one is a good one, very tricky to do under pressure. like I would've thought I could do that easily as someone handy with arithmetic and numbers usually but damn under pressure I was like ... what levels are any NPCs?? that kinda stuff is where settled is hard to beat, he just thinks of strategies very fast.

I love final examine and kinda wish soup used it more... "this must've been shot at high speed" i have no idea tbh but i'm like, is that an arrow embedded in something? hmm? oh broken arrow oh it literally was an item not a scenery ok that makes sense. but also by picking that soup lowkey handed it to settled who spent ages in the ranging guild... (nah I know he picks these things in advance and wouldn't have even known settled would be in this challenge)

well very strong performance from settled, sad to see it go that way but good to see a strong matchup like that. also this HOPEFULLY spurs the other contestants to focus on breaking up framed & settled from this point esp since there's no other obvious alliances (except for the way that victim and settled seem to have still not got the memo that roidie and faux aren't "farmersing" together lmao) (it's actually so fucking funny at this point)

it would actually be so hilarious if c engineer came to the final thanks to being "with" framed and settled and then somehow beat them lol i'm not expecting it but it's a twist I would love

my personal underdog i'm rooting for at this point is torvesta. i don't think he has great odds, dont get me wrong, he's a good player but doesn't usually impress on the level of most of the people who are left... but i'm just pulling for some late game gimmick where eliminated players get a say in affecting who's left and for SKILLY to make a reappearance to fulfill his unholy covenant and help torvesta lol. i'll keep hoping for that until the end!

a little bummed this PVP challenge is a team one though which feels like an easy(ish) out for the people who are weaker in that area but we'll see how it unfolds. the pre-defined setups definitely add an interesting twist to this that varies from DMM allstars

love framed going "i appreciate being picked but this ups the pressure, you might've picked WRONG man"... I was thinking this season how Framed is a really strong all-around competitor but part of the reason I feel like he isn't mentioned as a top-tier threat alongside some of the others like Solo, Settled, etc. is mainly because... idk how to say this, but Framed seems more... normal? like he plays hard and he's skilled but I also get the vibe that he is really ok going out whenever he does out, he doesn't have that uber competitive drive that those dudes have, or at least doesn't give the same vibe. i say this with absolutely zero knowledge of any of these people's lives outside of watching SOME of their osrs content - and I don't mean it as a diss - but I get the vibe like framed has more of a "life" than some of the other players LMAO

Faux "Both teams put up their best PVPer first, I mean, it's me versus Hooti" lmfao his delivery is incredible it almost makes it hard to know he's joking

I do like that format overall, fun to watch... but I'll say, it's a little lame that b0aty didn't even have to/get to go in? like I know it's bc that team played well and got the advantage, I'm not saying they don't deserve a win but a team challenge where it's possible that some players might not be involved at all is a bit :( maybe should've been best 2/3 matches going thru the 5 man lineup. but nice job to framed really putting in work for his team there

but tbh it is somewhat of a flaw in this format that the winning team is safe no matter what and they just have to choose 3 of them to be in the tribunal where there's the possibility of making enemies, i think he probably should've said that the players not picked for tribunal wouldn't be safe and made it more of a social game for them to agree on who they 'trust' most to not vote for one of the 2 excluded in theory. more of a prisoners dilemma type game instead of just "who's gonna be a fucking grown up and do it"

hopefully he mixes up how things work for the next few episodes because it feels like just like last season got kinda sucked into "who's the alliance voting for" instead of meaningful individual choices (bc that was the best macro strategy) now it's just everyone pretending to be so passive and take no responsibility for or investment in their choices (bc that seems to be the best strategy, or the only strategy really since alliances are near-impossible and the only true advantage is winning challenges for immunity). and alliances could be fun sometimes but could also be dull to watch and this format, while it was really really fun for the first few weeks as people tried out the new mechanics, is now getting dull while everyone remaining is trying so hard to "play it safe". "let's pretend we rolled RNG" that's so sad. like Boaty did that for his sabotage last week but he DID ROLL RNG that's why it works and he had the receipts. just lying about it is like... cant you at least just give the "we think victim is the strongest competitor" excuse like ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ boooo

I take back the respect i had for faux for being upfront with mammal (?) or whichever of the farmers was in the tribunal with him a couple weeks ago when he openly said "i'm not allying with you guys" . if he can't even just say "we put victim bc we think he's the strongest" when victim and everyone else knows that's the case like that's not even strategy that's just. lameness

That combined with his weakass strat for his DMM all stars team (which i know this was filmed at a very different time but they both came out the same time lol) has my personal stock in Faux as a player PLUMMETING. (i'm sure he's devastated.)

I'm pretty surprised Victim didn't go against C Engineer, I feel like he's been the one everyone else is seeing as the easi(er) picking for a while now (besides Zoe) - not that he's a bad player ofc but he is somewhat prone to making goofy mistakes in GG. Maybe Torvesta's speculation is right that Victim was thinking it might be a PVP banning and he rates himself better at PVP than mammal while also knowing he is better at PVM than Mammal... we'll see how it goes...

It continues to be amusing that Victim and Settled and some others haven't gotten the memo that faux isn't allied with the other farmers

Oh damn the Dharoks banning.... super fun to watch but also way more RNG based than a lot of other bannings. yes there's some strategy and some "how risky are you willing to play" element to it but if I was victim I'd be worried because out of any banning it could possibly be, this one probably puts him at the greatest odds of losing.

props to soup for finding a few new ways to mix up this banning and add some more choices to make into it

let's go (even though this feels way less hype than last season because of the chefs kiss drama of skillspecs and torvesta ending up versus each other) (tbh that is why I think seasons with more alliances & personal voting have a slight edge over this format you get more exciting narrative in bannings more often)

Oh man Mammal I'm rooting for you (just in the underdog sense) but you're KIDDING you cannot be asking aloud what you should do and LISTENING TO YOUR OPPONENT... he has 14hp like if you roll a hit you are so likely to kill him and yes he COULD oneshot you but he'd have to roll a hit and roll a 68+... dude come onnnnn if you went for it there you might've had that fight (we'll never know, but... oof)

First off, I really liked the challenge - an original one that isn't totally "solved" already. (I have seen someone do it before, maybe Soup himself in one of his mini-challenge videos? but it was lumby to varrock, not this route, and Zeah was a great choice bc it's less familiar to most people and also has so many different routes people can take, that was fun to watch). It was also really fun to see some different people come out on top! settled getting trolled into thinking he was back in the tribunal was a gem lmao

also I'm glad mammal learned that faux isn't supporting the other farmers - also props to faux for being totally honest about it and not playing games, but it felt so bad seeing roidie and mammal stick up for faux while not knowing he was not thinking of them as allies...

at first I was bummed they put B0aty in the banning and also bummed that boaty didn't pick settled bc i want him knocked out hahah BUT I think it was actually a smart play from boaty - his logic was he wanted to take out someone super strong, and yes settled also qualifies, BUT settled still has the notable PvP weakness, while Solo is one of the best PvPers left in the games AND one of the strongest all-arounders, so for boaty, it's probably better to get solo out now before an inevitable PvP challenge rolls around... (meanwhile, if a PVP challenge hypothetically happened next week, there are still plenty of people left who are better than or evenly matched with settled in that arena). also, getting solo out still weakens settled since they've been allied.

also a very smart choice from the tribunal people to realize that putting boaty in would get out another strong player whereas solo or victim 100% would've picked a weak link (zoe. it's funny/sad how they all openly say it but it's true! though tbh in past weeks people had been saying c engineer as the weak target, he was just in the tribunal today lol). Boaty is also less prone to instant retaliation and more likely to keep going for who he thinks is strongest, AND given 4 people voted him in rather than 3, that's a really smart move for a buch of middle-of-the-pack players in the tribunal this week. well done by them...

as for the banning, really liked it, and those were two fun players to see tackling that challenge... I like that they went different setups but I think solo just goofed. 30% increase is huge. I don't know the dps differences off the top of my head but glancing at it I don't think solo's "max" (of the options) setup was consistent 30% better DPS than the minimum setup, so I was feeling pretty certain boaty had it in the bag, especially once he killed jad faster than solo. Yes, some RNG involved, but everyone knows there's some RNG in dps, a good setup can noodle sometimes! so i dunno why any top tier pvmer wouldn't take a guaranteed 30% bonus to their score if the only cost is slightly worse gear! When soup first read off the scores I was like, no way that's right. He did so much of a dramatic delay and I was like "he didn't mention the multiplier, there's no way that's with the multiplier..." and. there ya go lol.

a little sad to see solo go because he does keep it amusing but I'd be happy to see boaty dominate since he's never actually won before. also just really wanna see him mess things up for settled lol as i said last week I was getting real tired of the settled/solo shenanigans

excited to see where it goes from here, particularly to see if mammal learning that faux "isn't a farmer" affects him and roidie (will it bring them closer together or make both of them feel like there's no farmers alliance?) and how others realign themselves...

ok maybe i'm dumb, or maybe it's just looking like people are being slower than they are due to editing, but a few minutes into this i'm SHOOK at how many people are going for mining?? i mean it's not a BAD idea but it's risky esp with competition for addy/rune and also how slow coal is... I'm surprised NOBODY is going for picking up a weapon and rushing some mobs in catacombs for either their equipment drops/alchables?

also just typing here my nooby ass armchair plan that I'd do in this challenge - i think a black salamander might be best bang for the buck in weapon slot, pretty quick to get and gets you combined bonuses in all 3 styles, I'd do that + pick up all the untradeable equipment I could (diary armor for most slots, perhaps a god book? not sure if zammy god book comes out to higher net bonuses than fally shield 4, GNOME AMULET, that's an easy +39 if you reclaim it, etc), if i had some gp I'd grab rune gloves first, if tthere was spare time I might go myths guild dragons to pick up a couple dhide pieces if those upgrade over diary pieces. but i 100% would not have thought of getting AMMO in the AMMO slot... so I'd probably lose on that alone if not on everything else lol. but then again my other first thought before i thought black sally was making an msb to go kill some mobs so if i did that i gues i'd buy rune arrows (and probably hate myself once i realized i could only get like, 20)

EDIT: i checked comments and confirmed that settled DID do this same challenge in season 2. which makes me side eye soup a little bit for NOT bringing it up in the narration, when he very often makes a point of bringing up players' previous banning stats (he brought up how EVscape had won the hoarder challenge before, when it set up his loss). but he didn't mention it here? I guess because it makes it a lot lamer and/or makes it look biased in settled's favor? (I do not believe it actually IS biased, I know he picks which bannings he will use each week before the players are picked). but what i'm saying is, i think he knew that the fact that settled got put in for a banning he'd handily won before, not to mention one that had an EXTREMELY REPLICABLE strategy and no new twist to it, was kind of lame, so he specifically did not call attention to it to make it look more clutch. which... i guess is good for the casual storytelling but a bit lame imo. i know he can't really help it but maybe could've made some narrative out of 'wow how lucky is he that he got THIS banning!!!!'
