Rolling Stone’s Top 100 Albums of all time.
Welcome, everyone. Or I guess whoever’s reading this. Kind of weird but whatever. Anyways, hello! Something I’ve always wanted to do was get really into music. I kind of blew over the first 9 months of lockdown just wasting away, but now we’re doing something. Music has always been a flotation device for me. It’s reliable; always there even when no one else is. Music always sounds the same. But it can feel different. You know? If you listen to Taylor Swift in the car, it’s fun, happy, exciting even. But if your boyfriend dumped you via text (no experience there, so I’m not sure why I used that as an example), her music just hits differently, if you will. I’m a big Taylor Swift fan, but that generally doesn’t roll over very well with “classic rock nerds” who claim she isn’t “real music” and how “real music” died with Micheal Jackson. I don’t know about that, but I do know that there are certain songs that make you feel...whatever. And I want to experience that.
So, Rolling Stone put out a list of the top 500 greatest albums of all time. And while 500 seems daunting and near impossible, I decided 100 seems interesting enough. So here we go.
