Hello, dear! You definitely don’t sound bad for asking. I’m fairly certain you’re not a horrible writer. I still haven’t seen any horrible writers in the rhink fandom. I really wish I could tell you some kind of secret recipe for getting people to read your fics but I don’t think there is one. Here’s what I did (maybe it’ll help):

I wrote things I’d love to read myself (I still do). I know this is an obvious thing to say but I think it’s the most important one. If you love what you’re writing it comes through in the story (and even if the writing is not the best there is, people will still like it because they’ll see you’re passionate about it).

Interact! Like obnoxiously interact with your peers. Reply to their posts. Re-blog. DM if you’re up for it. Make your presence in the fandom known. People like to read their mutuals/friends fics. I’m pretty sure the only reason my fics started getting more reads was because I kept pestering everyone here. :D

Maybe get a beta (if you don’t already have one). It’s nice to have at least one person who is excited about your stuff and cheers you on. Also, talking your story through with someone is a great way to make it even better.

I’m sorry I can’t help you more. :( I really really hope you don’t stop sharing your writing but I do get the way you feel after you’ve posted something you love and it doesn’t get as much attention as it deserves. It’s not a nice feeling. I hope things will pick up for you. And I hope you’ll keep writing because writing is the best. ^^
