Spring is here, this one took a long time cause its hard to make rain look good.

The result of my reworking the rain is this, and it ended up looking okish once i changed the splash animation. I had more fun doing the sunflowers. sometimes (more often than I appreciate) the sunflowers huddle up and form a gang.

-trash cans are now trash bags (for readability and also I changed the palette blue to a darker blue and I like it more) people always were confused on the trash cans, they used to look like enemies probably because of the mouth like movement of the lid, i added flies to try and fix that problem but ended up going for the bag at last. (also cool dust when its picked up)

Trashman is simply a fix to the problem of the bags spawning and then staying there forever. the player can avoid them, and more will spawn eventually it’d clutter up, so trashman is on a timer to come pick them up as a reward for waiting it out.

-the boots will be able to be picked up. i thought long and hard about the optimal boot color. the blue isn’t to distracting but is enough of a change to change the way people will look at the character, and they imply more progression. (maybe randomized color in palette.) (i’m not sure how much time i’m going to keep putting into this by giving myself more pointless things to add.)

-I’ve been adding shadows, and some other random stuff. trash man gets a new blue bag, it goes better with his gold chain anyway.

The two green lines that get cut off read

if you can read all this nonsense its an extremely specific shader that only works for the specific five colors i use in this game and for that reason its a terrible example of a shader and how they SHOULD be used. I don’t care enough about this to make it clean. Its really really ugly, take my word for it. read the green comments in the code if you wanna,
