I fear I might be falling for the mercest/georgetoto propaganda. Now stay with me here. I'm low-key fascinated and kinda sickened by the fact Georges and Toto's relationship is like a textbook example of how predatory F1 is and sport in general. When I say predatory I don't necessarily mean in a sexual nature but something about the fact the George went up to toto all alone with no parent at like 15 to pretty much sell himself on why he's valuable to toto and toto having all his fingers in nearly every aspect of George career like how his manager harry soden works for toto/toto is still part of his managerial team and theyr heaving contract discussions too? The way the cycle low-key is repeating with Kimi too and will likely repeat untill toto retires. Toto has an eye for talent but his drivers just keep getting younger and younger. The way he pretty much actually groomed them to be the type of driver he wants them to be. U can't tell me that being apart of mercedes and toto didn't have an effect on George public persona. He at Williams Vs him at mercedes are quite diff. He's way more of the "pr machine" now + ofc he's older. The way George so obviously has major daddy issues that play into his relationship with toto and just the general pressure cooker that is mercedes and the ghost of brocedes fucking haunts them too like💀. I love Merc but they're drivers are cursed for doom relationships I swear
