"Don't chase the rabbit"
Send me “Don’t chase the rabbit” and your muse will be shown a random memory from my muse’s past.
His whole behavior was completely irrational.
From the way he slammed his fist on the table to the way he shouted at his employees. He usually wasn’t the kind of person to lose his temper so quickly, especially not when he was working since he knew how draining everyone else’s job could be so he always tried his best to help out everyone who was in need of aid.
This particularly day, on the other hand, felt like he was living a nightmare. And all he wanted to do was make someone pay for the pain he was feeling. His therapist once claimed that his passive-aggressive behavior would turn visible every now and then with a quick and sudden change in his demeanour before he’d return to his prior state; not that it was anything better like that, though.
"The chairman is requesting your presence at the meeting this evening, Junmyeon."
The only one who wasn’t the least bit fazed about his pugnacity was his secretary. Then again, they had been assigned to each other from the moment Junmyeon first set his foot into the company and they were around the same age which resulted rather quickly in both taking care of each other in simple ways; getting dinner when one knew the other was overworking, her fixing his ties because he still didn’t manage to put them on properly despite years of training. Really, at times she seemed to be the only one who could help him to calm down and regain part of his sanity.
He would never be able to put his gratitude into words.
"Do I have to go or is this another attempt to make fun of my recent prêt-à-porter collection? I’ve had it up to here. They don’t come up with new designs themselves but still think they are relevant enough to make fun of me.”
"Don’t listen to them, then. They aren’t going to inherit this business, are they?" She mumbled in response, eyes focusing on the tie that was loosely hanging around his neck.
"I should turn you into the vice president when I’m officially the CEO. To thank you for everything you’ve done for me."
By the time she understood the meaning behind his words, her cheeks were already tinted in a lovely pink, causing him to chuckle. “How cute, I’ve never seen you getting embarrassed before.”
"Idiot," she replied, slapping his arm playfully before shaking her head. "You don’t have to thank me. I’m glad I can help you out."
He eyed her face briefly before nodding firmly. “Well, I do what I want when I’m the CEO so you might as well prepare yourself for a whole new position.”
"Don’t you dare, Kim Junmyeon ”
