I see a lot of misconception/fanon about the Constructicons acting as medics for the Decepticons in G1 and while there's no proof to support this, there is for Starscream out of LITERALLY everyone else
Starscream is the the only one seen treating cons in a medical setting in G1, which implies that hes literally the only one knowledgeable enough on the entire base to be somehow designated to do all the operations(more knowledgeable than the constructicons and even shockwave) Also the fact that MEGATRON trusts him enough to not sabotage this is something else. Also their bickering here is peak, can't get any more old married couple than this.
#Earlier in the episode Starscream calls Megatron an “uneducated dolt” and Megatron doesnt even react so you know it's gonna be good#Also i love how Starscream's just so playful throughout this all#insulting him without any care while operating on him LMAISJS#“UNFORTUNATELY the operation is a success”#The way Megatron tolerates this too and even humours him a bit is just so hilarious to me#if this were any other continuity theyd make Megatron like actually violent while Starscream's actually afraid and cowering#but nah theyre just so chill which i find adorable#offtopic for a bit but yea back on track#Later in the episode Megatron DOES like clarify a bit on Starscream's role here#by saying that Starscream's minimal knowledge wont work and he needs an actual expert like Percepter#Starscream is obviously not a specialist but this does confirm he has the most knowledge out of everyone else no matter how minimal#which makes him the walking embodiment of the phrase: jack of all trades#master of NONE!!!#Which i think fits him best#In “war dawn” we do have Starscream fixing Skywarps wings#so theres another too#the Decepticons not having a actual medic does make sense when you consider their entire philosophy in g1#which is just meaningless violence for meaningless violence#i don't think a medic can factor into that perfectly well#This episode btw is cosmic rust if your interested in checking it out#generation one#transformers g1#transformers#maccadam#starscream#megastar#megatron
