Pokemon Munching Watching! Zweilous plush (2026)
My PokĆ©mon hot take is that Black and White only allowing you to catch the regionās new PokĆ©mon until the postgame let you catch the ones from other regions was fucking awesome and they should do that again at some point. Design wise I think it pushed them to revisit older concepts for creature designs in new ways with all of the parallels between many of the Gen 1 and Gen 5 PokĆ©mon. Gameplay wise I appreciate that it forces players who may tend to stick to longtime favorites to try out new PokĆ©mon they otherwise wouldnāt have
I donāt think it should be the case every generation, or even all that oftenā¦but every now and then to have a set of games that follow the Black and White philosophy would do wonders imo. In Gen ? you have to build a team of only new PokĆ©mon and then in Gen ?? youāre excited that this time that long time fav of yours can be on the team for the main game again. Win win!
Reuniclus!
I wanted to make a design for one of my favourite pokemon. I'm going to make this into a keychain for myself! If there's any legit interest in this I might offer this on Etsy as a sticker/keychain possibly. I don't have Etsy set up yet but I'm working on it - I have to actually make shit to sell first lol. That's been....a hurdle to actually do.

I love seeing those posts that are like āUgh you guys completely donāt understand how cutiemarks workā ā¦. But itās from the perspective of someone whoās only seen g4/g5 XD XD
Because in a broader context, there was no lore explanation given for why ponies had certain cutiemarks before g4. In fact, in g1 ponies were born with their marks (There are baby newborns with marks⦠It does imply that some ponies born with baby themed marks will grow up to be adult ponies with baby rattles or bibs for their marks XD) and more generally the marks are just symbolic of the ponyās theme/personality (Though there was actually less of an emphasis on personality since most ponies werenāt in any shows or anything, just meant to be cool toys)
Even FROM a g4/g5 perspective, I think people are wayyyy too rigid with the āYour cutiemark is exclusively based on your special talentā because⦠Some cutiemarks can be symbollic and less literal (Take G4 Applejack: You might think āoh her talent is working with apples on her farmā but itās actually supposed to be more symbolic of her connection to her family). I also believe it doesnāt have to be exclusively about āyour special talentā because most ponies are more dimensional than just having 1 thing theyāre good at. Your cutiemark could represent something important to you that ISNāT strictly a talent. It could represent something about your personality or your interests.
So I am giving you, g4/g5 fan, permission to give your pony ocs and sonas cutiemarks that arenāt strictly āThis is my special talentā. You are allowed to give them more symbolic marks, Maybe something that is just representative of their story even if it wouldnāt make sense as a talent. Give that walter white pony blue crystal cutiemarks you donāt have to listen to that one post saying he wouldnāt have it because āthats not how cutiemarks workā (no shade to that other post but itās not that rigid) Hell you donāt even have to think too deeply about their story/personality at all. Take a g1/g2/g3 approach and just make a design thatās cool to you with themes you like (It can be ANYTHING: a food/color you like, something based on a show/game you like) and then just slap it on your pony and donāt worry too much about āwhat this representsā. If you want to think about it more deeply later, you can. but you donāt have to stress about fitting into the rigid āspecial talentā rules, okay?
